Those clones on page 1 look like they're finding it difficult to execute the order. One looks like he's unsure (judging by the hands).

 

Oh man, what a good issue. I love this series already. Caleb's all sorts of stupid but he's also headstrong and brave and I love it. I see a fun relationship between him and Kasmir in the future. And I think it's pretty clear that "Kanan Jarrus" is directly inspired by "Janus Kasmir."

Also, the art in this is flippin' fantastic. I love the way Kanan and Depa's lightsabers look. It's a shame Caleb's going to have to deep-six his to hide properly.

 

Art in this series is so. Freaking. Good.

 

My local store had a delivery problem meaning I couldn't pick up my copy.....it had to happen the week Kanan comes out!

I always thought there was more to Obi-Wan's speech than what we saw in "Spark of Rebellion". guess i was right.

 

Great issue cover to cover! I really felt sorry for Depa when she got killed, which I didn't expect considering that the most I've "spent" with that character was in Shatterpoint. One thing that caught my eye-Rostu squad. A possible reference to Nick Rostu from Shatterpoint, or am I looking too much into it?

Well she's still the same character, just less...crazy.

 

I gotta admit, I feel bad for Caleb/Kanan, I don't know many kids who would be able to survive on their own at what (How old is Kanan anyway?) 14?.

The Kasmiri is gorgeous.

 

How does Depa die? By sword like some suspected or just by blaster fire?

 

Rostu Squad, really? Well, that's too cool.

Well, he is a pretty skilled Jedi Padawan, so no surprise there.

General Kleeve really should not rely on Legends sources for accuracy.

 

He lamented his situation though...

 

The Art in this book is so freaking good, I much prefer the stylization over the trying to look just like the movies look of Vader and Star Wars, though Vader is still a great book too.

 

Seriously that ship is awesome.

 

Reminds me a little of the art in the Darth Bane comics.
