I have a mildly bad feeling about this.

If the Executor is supposed to be Tagge's flagship...this does not bode well for Tagge's future life expectancy.

I thought the SSD Annihilator was already Tagge's flagship - though I suppose the Executor could be planned to replace it.

Which raises the question of why the class is called Executor-class if the Executor isn't the first. Production delays at Fondor?

The Annihilator could be a different class of SSD than the Executor. [face_thinking]

It could - but I was under the impression that the newcanon approach was that all SSDs are Executors.

At least they are using Kuat. That makes me happy. Though, the art is not impressing me at all. The Executor looks way off (being under construction notwithstanding) and the Kuati shipyard ring looks like it digs into the planet. [face_dunno]

    No more Fondor. :(

They're really going strictly with that line in Battlefront about Kuat being the only planet capable of constructing Star Destroyers, eh?

Just a tip: Look at the "headline" of that opening crawl. Marvel made a big, big error.

Fondor exists thanks to Tarkin, at least. Kinda dumb to not reference the old Marvel comics by having it built at Kuat.

The less said about Wookieepedia's assumptions, the better. We never even got an external view of the Annihilator. Maybe by design, to hold off until the Executor is introduced. Maybe even to surprise us by having it be a different design, possibly even getting into a battle with the Executor and the Executor getting its first kill?

Maybe this ship is actually Lusankya. ;) ;)

(lol I doubt they'll bring that back from Legends for no good reason, but I will observe Lusankya's thruster backs were blue...)

Any possibility that the Executor was originally supposed to be Vader's ship, and it got given to Tagge after the Battle of Yavin? I mean, Tagge already has the Annihilator after all...

    Finally!

Everyone seemed to have forgot that both Kuat and Fondor claimed to have built the Executor, because they both did! One was simply renamed.

That's exactly what I thought, I hope they don't get rid of him right now, I want to see more interactions between him and Vader.

Wow. There's a lot to unpack in this issue. It really does set a lot of interesting things in play. There's some great lore, and Sithyness straight from Sheev's mouth. And no, I did not see that end coming in the way that it played out. Well done.

Oh - and the Droids mini-story at the end? Glorious.
