It has all built up to this! Vader’s trials against Cylo’s creations! His machinations against the Emperor! His covert missions with Doctor Aphra and her murderous droids! All comes to fruition in an oversized 40-page issue by the stellar team of Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca! You won’t want to miss this ending!

    Dat cover... =P~

A little off topic, how do these comic threads work? One of them is an entire TPB in one thread, and this is one issue, what is the standard/rule when these comic threads are made? It's just abit confusing with this mix of parts.

Anyway, was the release date for this originally really 31th of August? Right now it's coming out on the 12th of October..

That Tusken Shaman design is from TCW, it was going to appear in the S6 Bounty Hunter Arc :)

Come on Wolffe, you know how it works by now, you've been reading the comics long enough - Sith Happens. ;)

In this particular case, the reason for the bump was the addition of more pages and extras to make it a celebratory finale for the title.

More seriously - the comic threads started off as 1 per issue, over time it was found that made things more confusing due to the number of threads ended up with for just one arc of a book, nevermind two or three, plus minis!

So, recently it was changed to thread per arc instead, as then people reading for the first time or joining can see how a story progresses more easily.

Nice, Lucas and Filoni's mantra of not tossing anything away keeps showing up beyond the movies and tv shows.

I love seeing the unused stories and concepts from TCW being utilized in different ways in canon. Can't wait for this issue.

Same here. It would be such a tragedy if the best NEU character is killed off while the amount of mindless copies and Mary Sues and Gary Stus that are being churned out :(

Oh, it wasn't a sarcastic joke.

Intended as half comedy / half serious certainly.

The comedy was an allusion to Gillen's creative tendencies in certain respects. Anyone who has read his Journey into Mystery run will know what I've got in mind.

The serious bit? That it would be tragic works as reason to do it.

The thing is, how would she survive? Think about that. I hope they'll find a good solution though and continue her story.

Who's stronger, Gillen or Marvel? Because if I know Marvel, they'll be reluctant to kill off a fan-favorite, at least unless they're planning to bring her back later. So perma-death for Aphra? Seems unlikely and quite frankly quite the waste. I want to know how the story of Aphra continues.

Unsure if this is new information: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Vader_25

It says that it will be 56 pages, I don't recall it being as much. Almost three times more than the regular issue. This is the content I'm looking the most forward to, in the coming future. Otherwise there is just rebels and also the Ahsoka novel, aswell as Han Solo.

That's what the IGN source says. Probably a mistake, though.

Which is why it's taken longer - they expanded the content.

    Provisionally set for 12 Oct.

Darth Vader #25 will contain two stories. One is the conclusion of End of Games, which will be 40 pages long. The second story is a short comic which takes place during Darth Vader #1 and will show how Vader massacred the Tusken raiders from the latters point of view.
