    Hi
I thought I'd make a separate thread for this so it will be visible and as many people can chime in before we talk to Patricia on Tuesday...

    Hey!
Well.... looking at us in the mirror as we were doing it thought,
"I've never seen anything that looks SO WRONG"

After talking to some of us who were there, here are some comments I said or heard said:

    1. Is this a comedy routine? Cuz people ARE going to laugh... or cringe.

    2. Why can't we just stand there at attention with our blasters?

    3. We are taking attention from the ballerina by doing our "moves"

    4. It is out of character, and we even told Patricia upon arriving that our guidelines were to stay in character and not do anything that looked dumb...

What other comments does anyone have? I'd like to compile them and maybe let Patricia know tomorrow that we would rather just stand there and look menacing than look like some kind of performance artists.

There pretty lame......I think they take away from the show, and for sure from the real dancers. Troopers are nice stage props, not dancers .

Agreed. I think it will take away the atmosphere that the symphony is already trying to set up. And it'll take us out of character and people will probably be talking about the dance routine more than the fact that there was stormtroopers there. Just my 2 cents

yeah i don't know about the moves-- i don't think i'll be able to do them in sync with everyone else anyway. i worry about looking stupid, and that's probably a bad thing .

i'm trying to remember what else they had the troopers do at the AFI thing besides chorus line kicks...

I agree, I'm not very fond to the movements, kind of looks like a bad SW rendition of Madonna's vogue dance. I don't know if you guys have any say but you might want to see, if it's necesssary to do the movements.

We are going to look like fools IMO. Granted, no one knows who you are, if we look dorky...the 501st looks dorky!

And no one wants the 501st to get a bad rep for having a bunch of dorky dancers.

I had a growing feeling of dread the longer it went on... I went up and asked if we could just have our blaster out the whole time instead, but she kinda blew me off... guess I need to ask harder (if enough people feel the same).

I think we looked good at the zoo, and we should go with what works! I want to feel good about it, not embarassed!

I've never been so happy to be a Tusken. None of those dancing moves for me. Like Scott and I would say that's GAS!!(private joke)

Dude, Scott is Boba Fett, if his stuff was done he would be in there too...

I'm proud to be a clone, we don't dance and we win in the movie...

Edited (promise that was an accident) :D

Don't get me wrong, If I had armor I would be there. Just not too keen on the interpretive dance stuff. Now break dancing would be a different story.

When they started doing the moves I couldn't help but start cracking up. I broke Bloodclaw's concentration and he kept messing up.
