Do you like Corpsey the Dead Ewok?

Corpseys death was such a downer in RotJ. His poor friend cried on his corpse. I think the ending of RotJ should have focused more on Corpsey and his ultimate sacrifice.

 

I always felt really bad for that little Ewok. It was such an emotional death for a character that I really shouldn't have given any attention to.

I do feel badfor him. I like to think after the battle all the dead ewoks were healed by the force. Naive, I know, but that's all that helps me get through the pain.

I always get a tad misty when that little Ewok bites it.

I knew Corpsey had fans! I just knew it! Sucks when an Ewok has a more honorable death than fan favorite Fett eh?

 

I cried when the rest of the ewoks didn't get killed. Such a sad moment for the Star Wars saga.

 

I felt sorry for the little bugger. And that is what I discussed in my very own thread (plug): TPM final battle.

I was saddened by Corpsey the Ewok (love the name) but I also thought it heightened the drama and made us sympathize for their situation. In TPM, on the other hand, we see all these Gungans like they are some wacky Gumby figures prancing around the field. Not much interest or danger there. I seriously though Lucas should've showed one or two Gungans dying in battle, since this is Star Wars (WAR!?! HELLO?!? WAR!!) and people/furry guys/aliens can, and DO, die.






Rest in peace Corpsey the Ewok. He was 27 years old.

Yah, I totally agree. I mean, sure, if you squint and look REALLY hard into the background you can see gungans dying, but otherwise you don't see anything. Heck, you don't even see many dead gungans lying around- especially in the foreground!

I miss Corpsey everyday. He was my buddy. Heck, we even went to grade school together! It is good to know that he has not been forgotten and his legacy lives on.

Who is Chris Barnes? Did he play Corpsey the Ewok? As for the Corpsey the Ewok memorial fund, well I'm all for it! I've dug through my pants pocket and can donate three dollars and thirty three cents, an old ticket stub and a peppermint candy covered in fuzz! Can anyone match that?

That scene always makes me think only one ewok died in the battle of endor...?!

 

Every time I see that scene I get all misty-eyed. The same thing happens when I watch Old Yeller. Goodbye Corpsey! We'll miss ya little buddy!! (tears streaming down my face as I run away)
