You can't always win. All the credits to Sweden! You beat us and that's it. Don't forget this fact: Tommy Salo wasn't at his best, so your goaltendering can be the weakest link in your game.

 

As a friend of mine said in an e-mail: "If I'd bother myself enough to be even slightly interested, I'd be f----ed up." Fortunately, I'm not.

But, haven't you learnt anything? Excluding that certain little 4-1 game in 1995 which is ancient history: before and after that, almost every time Finland is leading against Sweden, the Swedes catch up and the most the Finns can manage is a draw, if even that (extra time and penalty shots not included). After noticing this little phenomenon, I've managed to win quite a few bets.
