Bookies Peg Tom Hardy As Next James Bond

It's a bit of a non-story. There was a time I could see Hardy in the frame for Bond, but not now. I don't think he's got the upper-class vibe, for starters.

 

The most important part is the Dalton passport.

 

i'm surprised the way Craig sounds about being done with the role.

and yeah i'm tired of hearing abotu Elba... he's only a couple years younger than Craig, so no chance of him being the next Bond.

Does anyone think SPECTRE will make more money outside the U.S. than The Force Awakens?

Skyfall is still the biggest moneymaker in the UK

 

Not me. TFA has got some killer imagery in their trailers so far; Spectre has Daniel Craig and a car-chase. I worry that the 007 flick will get the balance between gritty and fun totally wrong and be both unbelievable and unengaging. The Star Wars film at least will have all those shots of crashed starships looking awesome, plus... lightsabres!

 

only thing i worry about is Oberhauser and who his character is or isn't and how he relates to Bond. i could very well be in the theater

Yet another homage/reference to OHMSS perhaps (Bond works with/gets info on SPECTRE from an international criminal in exchange for protecting his daughter, and ends up legitimately falling in love with her)?

 

I thought I remember reading that they had signed him on for two more films....

 

He claims one more in the article, but even that appears to be in doubt.

 

Yeah, I think it was two more after Skyfall... so one more after Spectre.

Also, I love the Day of the Dead skull background from that new poster; it's the same mask he himself is wearing in the parade in the latest trailer.

 

I think it would make a nice pair of "duologies" if he were to make SPECTRE his final film in the series. Two movies to tell the story of his rise to 007 status and the "Vesper affair", and two movies to delve into his backstory, the threat to MI6 and the ascent of Blofeld.​

 

his looks havn't changed that much. his other movies havn't done big box office for the most part
