All I see is Halle Berry with a bad afro. Not sure why.

Kinda nonsense - Myers parodied the Roald Dahl conception of Blofeld, not quite Fleming's. People might laugh at Pleasance popping up in YOLT - I doubt that the same people would deride Savalas's imperious take.

exactly. but most people that laugh at Dr. Evil probably havn't even seen YOLT. I'm sure they aren't aware the Fembots are from the Flint series either lol

    Congrats!

Just reading over the reviews...apparently this one is the least personal of the Craig era. The trailers suggest otherwise.

I think a lot of this will come down to the story. We know it'll look great with Hoyte van Hoytema as cinematographer, the action will most likely be well-staged, the acting will probably be excellent.....

it's all riding on the script. Fingers crossed.

Yeah. Skyfall was the same way -- everything was perfect except for a contrived script. I'm concerned that might be the downfall here, too.

The logistics are contrived - the statement and actually thematic through-put is extremely sound though (RE: Skyfall). This is fairly similar based on the December script - I suppose it depends on what you care about/what you want from Bond.

i heard that daniel cragg almost murdered his family over this film. the stresses and the strains. the heavy burden of bond crushing his spirit. draining the life from him.

He "almost murdered" Rachel Weisz? Maybe you could give a link to that rather enormous, earth-shattering claim?

i'm looking for the link but he had laid it all out in this article i read. like he was going to begin by ringing the doorbell and brutally headbutting rachel wise after she opened the door. then it just went on and on. torture, mutilation etc. i couldn't believe what i was reading. thankfully, he didn't carry out his plan! but i'll continue to look for that link.

I did, but then he almost murdered me, and also Rachel Weisz who was at my apartment at the time, and I decided it wasn't in my best interest to continue.

Been to see Spectre tonight. I won't give too much away. It ties all Craigs Bond films together.

Story wise it's similar to Skyfall in the respect that's it's not too complicated, this time with Bond following a trail of bread crumbs
    left by Judy Denchs M
    to Spectre.

Things are getting a little more familiar now with the opening gun sight reinstated, a couple of gags (that work) and now the roles of a male M, Q and Moneypenny are in place too.

One minor gripe I had in the first hour or so was the over use of the Bond motif at every opportunity.

The opening sequence looks fantastic with a seemingly great 1 take shot and a very well done carnival with thousands of extras (real or CGI). Overall the scope of the film is vast with the locations visited and it looks very good.

Arguably it could have done with a little trimming off its near 150 min runtime, but I must admit I didn't get bored, and overall it's no better or no worse than Skyfall and I enjoyed it. It leaves things nicely tied up if Craig decides to leave.
