It?s been a long wait but the time?s almost here,
Of what is to be the best film of the year,

The last three years the press weren?t on our side
And it caused the less loyal to duck down and hide

Episode 1 upset some it?s true,
So what was a rabid fan-boy to do,

A kid and a Gungan caused many to quiver,
But we knew with ep 2 old George would deliver,

Darker in tone with more action and fun,
Might make us all re-think our stance on ep1,

The kids now grown up and skilled with a sabre
And exibiting signs of the future Lord Vader,

With Count Dooku, some clones and Bobba Fett?s dad,
It?s quite plane to see that there?s fun to be had,

From what we can tell the magic?s all there to see,
But can it come close to the sacred first three,

One things for sure as we get closer to ep 2
I?ll be there at midnight, will you be there too?

In this place I'd like to see,
A flood of Fan-Made poetry,

So if my friends you have the time,
Show your love in verse and rhyme,

So if Star Wars is your thing,
Write a verse to speak or sing,

Han and Luke and Leia are good,
Even Jar Jar if you would,

Show your love for the greatest of fiction,
Have some fun, don't mind you diction,

It doesn't have to be Shakesphere,
Just remember; we're all friends here.

You say that a lot.
But I ask you, quit what?

 

There was commotion on the boards for the message was quite clear,
That a dark horse had come along to rock the boat.
With rhyming verse and sentiment for everyone to hear,
But the locals wouldn't stand to see it float.

They were a dark and jaded bunch, who rarely took the time,
To ponder much these matters of the heart.
With no love for reflection, for creativity or rhyme,
They were quick to take the piss of someone's art.

So I put to you this request, that you all just have a go,
To extend yourselves and maybe make a friend.
Put away your cynicism and let the poems flow.
I would really hate to see this great thread end.
