Hey guys just wondering if I can get some feedback for this video I made to promote a new statue my Dept put up. It was made by a Fireman friend of mine that does Statues...He also made it look like himself too!

I'd like to know what you guys think of it before I show it to my Chief(s)!

    FFSSM.avi 30mb

Sorry for the large file but our computers at work can't use QT and I'm bad with MPEG 4.

Not sure what it has to do with fanfilms....

It was cool and all for the first 30 seconds but after that it seemed to drag on. I liked your choice in music, and could have seen how a 30 second chunk of your footage could have made it into a montage.

    Overall I liked it

hey thanks ...Well i know it has nothing to do with fanfilms...but it is a personal "film" nonetheless...I mean everyone here submits a test of some kind. And everyone here (almost)has experience with editing and comp.

The reason why each scene is long is because I want the people watching it to really get a chance to view the statue from all sides. This video is going to be shown to other Fire Dept.'s in order to raise money for the Statue (pay it off basically)

Just wanted to know if it has a good "sells pitch"

    stop saying mate.

It looked pretty good, but i do agree that it totally dragged on. But I imagine that someone ,ie your chief, would have a better appreciation for this than I.

yeah I love the music from Medal of Honor!
Any yes I made drag on on purpose...the point is for the ones watching to be able to really see the statue from all angles.

Needs more non-static shots. Say a rotation around the statue, more close-up panning of the statue's details(IE: HAT, AXE, ETC.). Overall really good. Good music.

I live and work in Florida For Ocala Fire rescue as a Fire medic. I can see for some how they would feel it is a little long, but for me I felt myself reflecting to the sacrafice those Men gave. It really hit home. Especially since September 11 is the whole reason I started this career. Great work , keep it up
