I wouldn't worry. At the rate we're currently going in world military affairs, we'll have likely have nuked ourselves by then.

 

I was just thinking that we were overdo for another "Jabba advocates killing a whole lot of people" thread.

 

With enough resources, we could help prevent, for example, the doubling of the population of Africa to 2 billion over the next few decades, without "killing a whole lot of people." Start with educating women and providing easy access to reproductive health services.

 

I think the current Ebola outbreak will accomplish that before we actually get off our asses and help out with providing the education for women and access to birth control and other reproductive services.

 

I'll be a couple of years shy of 100 by then, which is more than 30 years longer that I'd care to continue sucking air. But, I'd probably be too senile or dead to care about slurping the human-based, old people food supplements.

 

I was thinking this exact same thing. Either this or some huge natural extinction event occurs. It's the cycle of earth's history.

The level of political instability, food insecurity, disease and armed conflict we saw in Africa during the first two thirds of my life will be nothing compared to what we'll see in the last third. Assuming I have another 50% of what I've already lived, which may not be a good assumption of course.
