cool.....would be good to have an o/s'er come over.

rule number one before you do: It's QANTAS, without the U. Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service is what it stands for. Yes, I am a well of useless knowledge. :D

It doesn't snow in Adelaide. It gets cold by our standards, but I don't think you'd call 10-12 degrees celcius cold. You'll be fine.

And damn! Why don't we get airfares so cheap to America?

    :D

EDIT: Billabong is also a brand name of clothing. A billabong in the actual sense of the word is a naturally occuring body of water, sometimes as big as a dam, sometimes as large as a lake. don't know that there are many 'real' billabongs left. maybe in the outback.
can you tell I'm going to be a teacher yet? :)

well I could design it for twenty people but the vehicle that would tow it would have to be a minimum of a F150 or above.

A small trailer would be perfect for her little car.

Basically the size of a landspeeder would work but the sailbarge would be too much.

She couldnt get it out of first gear to get it moving.

hhhmmmm 4"/2", Craft wood and a router would be the way to go, that way you could have the window bits on the side that is if we are talking about the sail barge and not the skiff?? and it would be cheaper and lighter than making it out of metal, and if you paint it with a spray gun you can get the whole weathered affect as well.

WTH!?!? Store it here?! Married to him!?!? YOU MUST BE JOKING!! SHEESH!! And leave my 'rebel dream' along Beez!!! You nasty little brother!!! :p

We could make it from ply wood and cover it with calico that could be painted and the kids sit in it!

That might not be a bad way to go.

I think I know of a way of doing the sailbarge without a big truck.

basically it has to be about the same size of a car but with four posts. Not very high. In our bodyshop we use car dolleys to push a car around. one under each wheel and then the car can be pushed around. Or pulled in this case.

their about fourty bucks a piece.

you can build the sailbarge on blocks and when the time comes move it to the parade root or move it onto a trailer if need be.

    mega blocks are too heavy.

Try plywood or carboard if necessary.

    This week on Renovation Rescue!

...whispers .... A-D's plans for a sail barge in the backyard have come unstuck. The Lego has been held up at the docks, the trailer's got a flat tyre and guy doing the papier mache left it out in the rain..... so while A-D's out for the day, the crew here are going to pull out all the stops ... OK guys, bring in the cameras........ :D
