Calling all, and especially THE SBFF,
to post here with stories of what they are up to,
and how they are feeling about SPRING FEVER 2009
after kinda living on HOTH minus the ice creatures (unless we count some of us)
    these past few months.
    :)

Good topic, MT! Hoth is right - we are back in the cold, 7 F right now with a low of -7 F tonight.

We are on spring break this week, so no classes - just a chance to catch up on some things. Actually had a couple lazy days yesterday and today, so I was able to catch up on all the geek gossip on the internet.

Still car-less - got the check from my insurance, now just waiting to find a good deal on a new set of wheels. I'm thinking about this to pay homage to SBFF (covers Star Wars and South Bend all in one shot).

    Very nice We,

    now I want one too[face_laugh]

and.......wow, still that cold by you!

I went to the Chicago Botanical gardens to see flowers and green plants,
well, they have them in the hot houses anyway,

but, did actually seem some signs of spring________including 1-flower,
    while walking the grounds.

Hopefully, today/tomorrow is our last cold snap here in the midwest,
as it will go down to an over night low of around 10.

Actually this is a new cold snap, we've had several warm days over the last few weeks. Overall, I think your winter has been much worse than ours.

Well, I think it is going to be too close to call for South Bend,
where the weather that I see looks much worse than by me,

However, if we get another APRIL snowstorm,

like the one in 1979____30-years ago!

    then all bets are off:D

i'll be in indy starting this friday through next thursday. it ought to be fun. however, the only drawback of crashing with the parents is the fact that they have unreliable internet service (i piggyback on a neighbor's signal).

Spring is usually a very busy time for me. Construction in general picks up around this time and I find that my free time during the day gets whittled down to next to nothing. I am enjoying the weather though. It's nice not having to put on four layers of cloths to stay warm. Yesterday was "warm" but with 30+ MPH winds it was freezing. It didn't help I was working on the lake front.

I am going to be on a turn-a-round (outage, shutdown, etc) for the next 6-8 weeks. It got delayed a week so it starts this coming week. After that I am looking forward to getting a few things down around the house. Anyone want a 24' above ground pool? We are taking ours down.
