Should it just be music by John Williams, or should a popular and good singer (Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Faith, Argh, whoever else)try to do one?

If, you would want a vocal song to be recorded, a change for once....

I guess those singers I named above aren't really JCers favorite, so who do you prefer?

    OR

What about Vocals like a Concerto like they did for "Duel of the fates"???

    OR

Just using the exact music done by John Williams way, and other singers use THAT EXACT Music to Add Vocals!!!

    Anyone?

JM22, I respect you and I think you're a very enthusiatic guy and all but... this is a joke, right?

    :p

EDIT: Danny Elfman did a pretty good one called Face to Face for Batman Returns which comes to mind but... for AotC you say? ...no.

Please no. It would be far too much like that Can You Read My Mind song in Superman, which probably sounded rather cool back in 1978, but now it's just embarrassing. A love song for Attack of the Clones would just be....well, cringe-worthingly silly.

John Williams 'is' Star Wars music...

I think it should be left in his capable hands with his good ol' London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus group.

Oh, I think I'm going to be sick. I'm trying not to picture the whole "My Heart Will Go On" possibility associated with Episode II. Pardon me, I"m going to have to go be sick now. John Williams had better not EVER stoop that low. The celebration music at the end of ROTJ, the Duel of the Fates, and Qui-Gon's funeral are all beautiful and appropriate vocal/lyrical additions, but to have an actual pop song is still making my stomach churn.

As long as it sticks to the instrumental and indistinct vocals (even though I love "Only Time").

I have to agree with most everyone else here. Dear monkeys! (?) ;)

I'm looking forward to something perhaps somewhat reminiscent of Han and Leia's theme in depth and feeling, but with a special feel of its own, something hummable and versatile. I have great faith in John Williams. :D

    Dear flying monkeys!

With so much emphasis being put on the love story part of the film, I hope what ever it is it is good.

    "How about Enya?"

Well, there is a difference between pop ballads and new-age music. I for one am looking forward to hearing the songs she composed for The Fellowship of the Ring, as I felt her song in Far and Away complimented Williams' score quite well.

I've only heard bits and pieces for her music for The Fellowship of the Ring, I wonder if it mirrors Howard Shore's score for the film at all?

    Beatles in AOTC... ::snorts:: [face_laugh]

No, I wouldn't like there to be an actual song in AOTC (no, in ANY Star Wars movie). As Ish said, the vocals are cool (like in DotF, end ROTJ...), but I expect JW to write some romantic melody, such like the Han/Leia theme from TESB (even more romantic). I'm sure he will write something awesome! :D [face_love]
