In the power vacuum created by the decimation and eventual disintegration of the New Republic In the Yuhzan Vong war, hundreds of tiny nations arose. An unusually large one is the Baldorian Confederation.

Involved in a costly arms race with the Hapan Consortium, Baldor and its outlying sectors lie bankrupt and ignored throughout the galaxy. However, the dissapearance of three Grand Alliance Intelligence officers has made the name Baldor once again known throughout the Grand Alliance Command.

On a lonely mining colony, a team gathers to find out what happened to them- and what they were on the verge of dicovering before they dissapeared.

They lie poised on the brink of a larger conspiracy, larger than they could possibily imagine...
