i take it you got the king, not the ringwraith w/ horse. the king looks way better than the ringwraith w/ horse - but the horse is amazing!

I also got the Witchking Ringwraith today. Very nice. I just hope the AOTC figures are as good.

yeah, got the single figure ringwraith. had to travel a bit to find one though, went to riccarton then bush inn, then finally found one in Hornby.

The Horse packs are cool, I still want Arwen and Asfaloth.

I went kinda crazy today. Bought Sam at the goblin door, Saruman, and a two pack of Boromir and Lurtz.
I am most impressed with the detailing, especially on Lurtz. I thought Saruman looked cooler than Gandalf btw.
They look so extremely wonderful in my room.I've got some LOTR art behind them on the shelf.
    A very good day! :)

The third LotR trailer is being played on TV2 tonight (Friday, 26 October) at some stage during Roswell.

It's also being played on Saturday and Sunday, but I missed when - they'll probably show the advert promoting the trailer (good grief!) again later tonight though.

I have to say that I am a bit daunted by it's 2 hour, 45 min runtime. And it's rated pg-13 in the states, which probably means an M here - I'm a bit sensitive when it comes to gore. I'm not much of a Peter Jackson Fan. I will see it though . . . mainly for all the New Zealand scenery.

I still can't understand what they did with 2 hrs 45 mins. I'm halfway through the book and I can sum up what's happened in a few sentences. Maybe there is heaps of plot in the second half, or something.

I am enjoying it, sometimes with all the hype your expectations can be a little high. It might damage the movie I bit too, though I sincerely hope not. It's just with all the people claiming it will be the greatest movie ever, based only on the trailers, you have to wonder.

I'm a little slack with turning on my MSN :D

    Harry Potter
According to this morning's news, some corporates in England are pre-booking entire cinemas so that their staff and families can see the Harry Potter movie. :)

    Lord of the Rings
I was watching TV2 last night and there was an advert saying that TV2 is going to be running a LotR competition "soon". No information about when or what the prizes are though.

Are these the Warhammer pieces?? Tell me more. I haven't heard too much about them. I've got about 30 painted miniatures atm, but have always wanted LOTR ones. I think I might make that miniature chess set I've been meaning to make since about 91 :)

    Harry Potter

TV Guide is running a competition to win tickets for a family of four to go to the NZ Premiere of the movie or one of 30 double passes for the movie.

You need to send in the entry form in the TV Guide (page 114). Entries close 5:00pm, Tuesday, 16 November, 201.

Evidently, the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone movie is two an a half hours long.

It will be cool to see what GW does with LOTR characters. I used to be into WH fantasy but it just got too expensive. I'll probably still get a couple of LOTR characters to paint up and put in dioramas.
