San Joaquin, CA A Christmas Poem, Sort of

Twas four days before Christmas
and all through the Boards,
Not a Jedi was posting,
Where were the hoards?

Ah, they've gone into hiding,
Said the Sith with a smile.
Order 66 has proved useful,
and worthwhile.

Darth Sidious and Darth Vader
were snug in their beds.
Dreams of Galactic conquest,
Danced in their heads.

When a cry in the blackness
Woke them from their sleep.
Somewhere on Tatoonie,
An old Master did creep.

Into waiting arms
of Beru, the new bride
A bundle was delivered
And an old Jedi did ride.

The disturbance was slight,
The Sith Lords would cope.
They had no idea
There was already a New Hope.

Yes, I did. Actually wrote it as I was posting.

 

You're a poet and I didn't know it.

 

Ya know my poems were always a little more ... well lets say dark.
