A different kind of discussion

I have enjoyed reading and participating in the threads here. I pride myself on see any side of an argument (even if I totally disagree with it).
I have often wondered how this board and its topics have affected people who read and/or join in. Has the discussions ever changed your views, made you see someone else view or made your belief in a subject stronger? Do you feel more informed by the thoughts expressed here?
