A droid, a spider and a pea.

He was home.
And he sighed deeply when he remembered what had happened.
The mission could have ended in a big disaster.
Very big.

And he saw his master headed to their kitchen.
The master was still slightly green, very slightly green after he had thrown up in the passenger seat of the speeder.
Why?

Because the master had been the passenger of him; and he was the most admired ? whispered behind his back by fellow padawans ? or the most reckless ? told to him by his master in the speeder after the ride ? pilot.

The mission ? if you could call it a mission ? had begun with a request by his master to come home early after his lessons and he had done that.
He had been early ? only a few minutes late ? and he had explained that the few minutes late were because he had to finish a droid part.

And the master had grinned when he told him to put said droid part in his already cluttered bedroom with droid parts, finished and unfinished droids. It was a very cluttered bedroom. Almost every square centimetre was covered by parts and only the bright blue comforter covering the bed was relatively free of them.

He had donned his cloak after removing a tiny spider droid and he had tried to scare his master wit it or was it a scare when he held the spider in front of his master? No. His master had told him that he wasn?t afraid of bugs anymore after a lecture by master Jinn about spiders after killing one of the critters with his lightsaber and destroying the fresher in the process.

He had followed his master to one of the hangars and had been delighted when they were headed to an open seated speeder.
Delight turned to a slight annoyance when he was asked to sit in the passenger seat but a smile appeared soon in his sky blue eyes when he was told that he could pilot the speeder home. But only if there are no police patrols on the way out his master had told him and he could agree with that because with ten years he was still under age.

He had been curious to where the mission would take them.
The senate?
No. His master piloted the speeder ? in a sedate very safe master Kenobi way that had him almost falling asleep ? to the Coco district and had landed it on the parking place near a restaurant.

He had grinned when the owner of the restaurant ? Dexter Jettster ? had spotted his master immediately after entering and had left his kitchen to envelop his master with his four arms and hugging him.

And he had enjoyed the specials and the mujaa juice until his master was looking down at his plate with cerulean blue eyes showing a slight disgust. A green pea was in the vegetarian salad his master was eating. Master had floated the tiny morsel on his spoon and had told him about the lessons he received after feeding them to the cat and the weeks he had to eat the green mayhem after that first trying to get rid of them.
No, his master didn?t like green peas at all and that was a revelation to him.
And he didn?t like them either after he had tasted the green pea.

Master had talked to Dexter Jettster about odds and ends and had gotten information that was vital for the Jedi intelligence department and that had been it.
After the diner he had followed his master to the speeder and had slid in an elegant way ? a showing off for his master ? behind the controls and he had taken the speeder in a sharp turn after taking off.

No he shouldn?t have done that.

Police patrols ? used to Jeditemple speeders travelling through the Coruscant airways in a sedate speed ? spotted him immediately.
And he made it a gam

 

Police patrols were soon lost but when he looked at his master he saw a green complexion and a dinner residing between the master?s feet.
You were right Obi-Wan, He will be the death of you. Anakin
Is that why Obi-Wan doesn't like flying I would imagine it's because of Anakin.

 

Yikes, maybe that's why Obi-Wan hates flying so much.

 

Ah, a green Obi...of course, with Anakin piloting. Nice story.

It's wonderful! I think you are one of the best on the boards at handling the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan. I loved the ending especially, where Anakin takes the tea just as an apology. We all know he's never going to change the way he flies! It was fantastic how you tied in the things I wanted.
