Hmmmm. Now that comment of Panaka's really got Luke to wondering - memories? Leia and a pilot - not the pilot I hoped for/expected. Nummy Han versus a Rodian?

Author's Notes: Just as an FYI on this Chapter, this has been a few days since Leia made her way into Mos Eisley, meaning a few days since Obi-Wan and Luke both left their homes to go to Tatooine. In case that the timeline was in question. Also this is also a big chapter because Luke has arrived in Mos Eisley where his sister is. And Obi is at Anakin's.​

Chapter 7​

Searching​

“Huff says he’s going to help me search for Leia. We’re going to go to Anchorhead, then Mos Espa, then Mos Eisley.” Owen said as he stood at the foot of his and Beru’s bed, his wife curled up in the blankets sobbing.

“Please Owen… please bring her home.” Beru cried.

Owen walked up to his wife, leaning down he kissed her on the forehead. “I will my love… I will.” Owen said to his wife, hoping it was reassuring, but he had no
idea if he could find the girl in time.

Owen made his way out of the room out onto the short set of steps. He looked up out of the living pit; the sun was just about to set. Huff Darklighter didn’t care though, they needed to get out searching as soon as possible. He would meet Huff on the outskirts of Anchorhead, and then they would start to look for Leia.

He could not believe the girl had run off. If she knew the truth she would know why Beru and him kept her life hidden for so many years. However knowing the truth might cause her to want to leave even more. It was a losing game that Owen and Beru both were tired of playing.

He made his way over to a tunnel of steps that led out of the living pit. Owen walked up the darkened staircase planning to go get the speeder from the housing hut. But those plans were soon foiled as he saw the horrific sight on the horizon of the dessert.

Speeders… lots of them… carrying Stormtroopers… and lots of them…

“Beru! We have a problem!” Owen cried out for his wife.

This is not good!

Obi-Wan had landed his starfighter in the rocky mountain ranges, luckily able to find a flat point. Still sitting in the cock-pit he looked around at the terrain, different twist and turns of large stones, somewhere down a trail was Anakin’s hut, Kenobi knew it to be true.

He pressed open his cock-pit shield and climbed out. Using the force he looked at the three different trails that stretched between the mountains, he sensed a presence in the middle one, that’s where Anakin would be.

Pulling his robes tight to him Obi-Wan began to stroll down the trail. The skies were darkening and the stars were coming out, he hoped to find the hut quickly.
He thought of Anakin, wondering what age had done to his old friend. Kenobi hadn’t seen Skywalker in nearly ten years; the man had become a recluse. Didn’t want to stay in contact with anyone, Obi couldn’t blame him however. Not after what the man endured, his dark past most likely haunted on all of his days.

Obi hoped that the man held no animosity toward him…

After about fifteen minutes of trekking across the rough terrain, Kenobi saw his point of interest. A small stone hut, with a weak looking rood made of straw and hardened mud. He saw a light emitted from a small window, the man was home.

Obi-Wan made his way up to the hut. He knocked on the wooden door; from within there was the sound of movement. Then the rusted hinges creaked open, standing in the door way was a tall figure. His was face hidden by the shadow of night coming from outside, but Obi could see the scars, from the inhumane attack that was unleashed on the man years before. And the ominous noise of the man’s breathing mask sent chills down Kenobi’s spine.

“Hello Anakin.” Obi said calmly.

The Tantive had docked in Mos Eisley and Luke sat patiently in his quarters on the ship. The thought of the droids crossing his mind, but his fears for the two were showered by his wondering of what his mother had said before he left. “Whatever happens, whatever you discover on Tatooine, just know that I love you.”

What was she so worried he would find?

And then what Captain Panaka had said. “The planet will bring back… memories.” What memories? Something bad must have happened, and somehow his mother was tied to the ordeal. But what was the horrible incident, what remained on this world that disturbed the two so greatly?

Luke’s deep meditation was interrupted by the door to his quarters sliding open suddenly. The Prince rose from his bed to greet the man standing before him.

“Lieutenant Deeks.” Luke said with a nod.

“Prince Skywalker our spread across the perimeter of Mos Eisley. Keeping eyes peeled for any danger toward you, and you’re escorts are prepared to begin the search for the droids.” The tall and thin Muun man spoke with purpose.
“Sounds great Lieutenant, tell the escorts we leave in five.” Luke sat back down on his bed.

“Yes sir.” Lieutenant Deeks left the quarters, the doors automatically closing after.

This is it! Off for an adventure!

 

From the sounds of it Anakin received some serious injures.

Luke is just minutes away from meeting his twin from the sound of things.

 

@Lady_Misty, Luke and Leia's paths will crosss soon And Anakin did recieve some serious injuries, the cause of them will be revealed eventually ​

Author's Notes: Well here it is chapter eight, the confrontation between the master and the apprentice. Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker. I love this chapter because we finally get a taste of Anakin's dark past. We dont get a full understanding, but seeds are planted for the reveal that will come later on. And his past is pretty messed up, I completely reformed the ideas of the prequel trilogy and I think you all will like it.​

Chapter Eight​

Not the Same Anymore​

“You shouldn’t have come here.” Anakin shook his head.

Obi-Wan was sitting across from his former apprentice in the living area of Anakin’s very small home. A fire burned intensely offering light to the hut. Obi-Wan couldn’t help but to feel concerned for Anakin and the scars on his face, burns left from an evil assault. And the little black metallic mask that covered his nose and mouth, assisting his breathing.

“Anakin listen I…” Obi-Wan began.

Anakin cut him off. “No Obi-Wan you don’t understand.” The man rose from his chair. “Look what happened… all those years ago… needs to be forgotten. What I did was horrible and despite my cleansing in the force, I’m not forgiven. You and I both know that.”

“You were forgiven; you came back to the light.”

“But now our kind are long gone. It’s time to move on Obi-Wan. My place is here with my daughter Leia.” Anakin sat back down, trying to decide if he wanted to be up or down.

Obi-Wan felt so much pain for Anakin. His past was so terrifying; the crusades he had led against the Jedi were disgusting to say the least. But he saw the evil he had done; he repented, and was cleansed of his sins in the force. Now though, now he was just an old bitter man.

“You’re place is with both Leia and Luke. Anakin the force is so very, very strong with those two. They could…” Obi-Wan’s voice trailed off.

“They could finish the job I was supposed to! They could be the new chosen ones, because I failed. Because I succumbed to the dark side, because I…”

Tears welled up in Anakin’s eyes but he quickly whipped them away.
Obi-Wan put his head down trying to hold in his emotions. Trying to forget about what the man had done years ago.

“Anakin if they were trained… They could kill the Emperor... and his knight of darkness” Obi now stood up, impatiently pacing back and forth.

Anakin looked up at his former master. “Obi I don’t want them to be trained… I don’t want to risk their lives, what if they fell to the dark side?”

“They wouldn’t, we could not allow it.” Obi rebutted.

“What about me, there was no way to stop me when I turned.” Anakin rose to his feet standing face to face with his former master.

"That was destiny Anakin! And those two kids have a destiny also!” Kenobi pointed his finger into Anakin’s face.

“I won’t allow it… I just… won’t…” Anakin looked away.

“Then all hope is lost.” Obi-Wan paused. “What about Padme?”

Anakin’s full attention reverted from the ground to Obi-Wan. The man’s eyes were filled with a mixture of anger, sadness, and fear.

“Do not mention her name… ever…” Anakin clenched his fists.

“I can’t believe you let go that easy old friend.”

Suddenly Anakin collapsed to the sofa, holding his head. His eyes widen. Obi took a seat next to him, placing his arm on his shoulder.

“What is it Anakin?” Kenobi questioned.

“Something’s wrong at Owen and Beru’s!” Anakin jumped up from the sofa, grabbing a black cloak that was sitting on the ground he made his way toward the door.

“I’m coming with you.” Obi-Wan rose quickly.

“You help me with this and then you leave Obi-Wan Kenobi… and you never, ever come back!” Anakin ordered forcefully.

Obi-Wan nodded and the two left the hut.

 

So Anakin is bitter but doesn't want his children to have his destiny.

Chapter Nine​

Discoveries​

The round stone entrance to the Lars living pit was charred black, smoke pouring from the opening of it and the crater. Anakin and Obi stood motionless staring upon the roasted bodies of Owen and Beru. Hung up by their feet on a clothes line, a tear rolled down Anakin’s face. Obi found it hard to hold back his emotions but he had to, he was a Jedi. And so was Anakin.

But for Anakin things had changed…

“Stormtroopers…” Anakin’s voice started off as a quiet whispers. “Damn Stormtroopers!” He now cursed loudly as he ran his hands through his hair, and kicked sand into the air.

Obi-Wan shook his head; he couldn’t believe Owen and Beru were gone. Anakin was right what happened to them was at the hands of troopers. Because no one on Tatooine had any discrepancies toward Owen and Beru, they were kind people. However the Emperor had been searching for Leia for years and now he was on the right track.

“Anakin it is ok, please we need to just calm down and think clearly here.” Obi tried to comfort the man.

Anakin turned around to Obi-Wan, staring at him with furious eyes. He then grabbed the man by the color of his under-tunic and threw him to the ground.

“Do not tell me what to do old man, leave me the hell alone!” Anakin shouted.
Feeling a sharp pain in his lower back from the impact with the ground, Obi managed to climb to his feet. He was old, and moved a lot slower nowadays.

“Look Anakin, the only way were going to find Leia safely is together.” Obi said as he dusted off his robes.

Anakin suddenly twitched and his attention reared off to the distance. “Leia…”

“What?” Obi questioned.

“Leia… she’s in trouble…” Anakin muttered.

“Quick to the shed over there, the Lars’s speeder should be in tact!” Obi-Wan jogged for the shed with Anakin following behind.

“Wait where are you taking me?” Leia stopped and asked Greedo.
The man was a few feet in front of the girl, leading into a dark alleyway, it’s end unknown to Leia. She looked at the Rodian with worried eyes.

“The docking bays are that way.” Leia said as she pointed in the opposite direction.

Greedo got a scary smile across his face and approached the girl. He grabbed her by the writs, gripping her tightly as she struggled to break away. Citizens in the street took attention to the situation, but did nothing to help Leia.

“You will make a nice addition to Jabba’s dance team!” Greedo chuckled as he pulled harder on the young girl who was putting up a fight.

Jabba? Leia thought about the name, he had to have been talking about Jabba The Hutt. The Hutts were crime lords that practically controlled Tatooine. Jabba the most popular one, was a slob creature who surrounded himself with scantily clad woman. That means Greedo definitely wasn’t a pilot, probably just a lackey of Jabba.

“Get off of me you sleaze ball!” Leia shouted.

“Let her go Greedo!” A voice called out from down the street.

Greedo chuckled; the voice was familiar to him. “Skywalker…” Greedo turned around, pulling Leia in closer to him, pointing his blaster to her head.
Anakin and Obi-Wan stood about five meters from Greedo. “He said let her go fowl one, and I think he means it!” Obi-Wan added.

“Screw the girl… You always were a pain when we were kids Anakin...” He threw the girl behind him. “I want you!” Greedo called out loudly now pointing his blaster at Anakin.

Obi-Wan pushed back his robes reaching toward his belt for his lightsaber. Anakin glanced down and shook his head. “No let me handle this Obi!” Anakin said.

“Don’t do anything to drastic Anakin; it wouldn’t be the Jedi way.”

“Jedi don’t exist…” Anakin kicked the sand, gritting his teeth.

Anakin removed his robes and unclipped his lightsaber. He charged toward Greedo with a snap hiss the saber ignited, its red glow shining brightly. The Rodian moved backwards and fired off a shot toward Anakin. Skywalker deflected it toward the ground. Another blast was fired and Anakin blocked it again as he quickly closed in on Greedo. He then did a summersault, dodging a blaster shot, hopped to his feet. Then in once swift motion sliced Greedo’s blaster in half, and then cut his head off.

Greedo’s severed head rolled across the ground a few feet. He saw Leia cowered against the wall. She looked up at him strangely. Anakin looked back at Obi-Wan who stood still just awaiting Stormtroopers to arrive, one because of what Anakin just did, and two because of Leia.

“We best be going!” Obi-Wan shouted as he ran up to Anakin.

Anakin reached his hand down to Leia and helped the girl to her feet. “My name is Anakin Skywalker… I’m your father…”

Luke came strolling through the street with two Naboo Security Guards by his side, the others had made it to the ship and were preparing a nights rest, the Prince’s search for C-3PO and R2-D2 had been fruitless. He would sleep tonight and go out again tomorrow, there were rumors that some people saw an escape pod fall in the far out dessert.

With his mind in shambles Luke suddenly came to a halt as he watched citizens running past him screaming. Luke took cover a dumpster, his guards with blasters ready in hand. Luke watched as he saw the reason for the fear. A Rodian holding a blaster to the head of a girl that looked to be Luke’s age.

“Skywalker..." The Rodian chuckled.

Skywalker? How could that be? Who is that man?

A tall man with a scarred face and small breathing mask that covered his nose and mouth drew a weapon that was considered to be outlawed, a lightsaber. It’s red glow emitting intense heat and light, as the man charged the Rodian, blocking shots multiple times before decapitating him.
Luke knew what that man must be, a Jedi. And he must be related to the Prince somehow. The only way Luke could find out was talk to the man, so he rose from his feet and approached him, ignoring the orders from the guards.

“My name is Anakin Skywalker… I’m your father.” The man said as he helped the girl to her feet.

Luke was now standing directly behind the man, Anakin, the girl, and another elder man. All three of them turned around to look at the Prince.

“I’m Prince Skywalker from Naboo, and I think we need to talk.”

 

Delightfully momentous reveal.

 

'I am your father' is one of the best reveals in the whole history of storytelling!

Luke is in for a shock when he learns that the mystery girl is his twin and the man is his father.

 

this is a very interesting twist...usually when Leia is on Tatooine, Luke is on ALDERAAN....but you've created a different twist that I really like. Please tag me!

Chapter Ten​

On The Run​

“Quick my ship is in docking bay thirteen!” Luke called out as he led Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Leia through a dimly lit tunnel.

Luke ran quickly through the tunnel, knowing Stormtroopers would be chasing them very soon. They passed by a couple strange looking creatures, who seemed appalled by the group dashing for the docking bay where the Tantive IV was.

However as Luke saw the end of the tunnel approaching, and the sunlight pouring in he was shocked. Crowded around the ship were Stormtroopers, a whole fleet of them. The loading ramp was dropped and there were troopers walking in and out.

Luke came to a sudden halt, his followers stopping quickly behind him. “Damn!” He cursed. “Stormtroopers!”

“We need to go now!” Obi-Wan stated.

“And where to, we need to get off world!” Leia added.

Then before the bickering could continue one of the troopers called out. “Hey! Stay where you are!”

“Get cover!” Anakin shouted at Luke and Leia, the two obeyed and crouched behind some crates against the tunnel wall.

Anakin and Obi-Wan quickly drew there lightsabers, snap hiss. The red and green glow of Anakin’s and Obi’s lightsaber danced like shadows on the wall as they deflected blaster fire from the Stormtroopers. Twirling their weapons in windmill motions, but the fire was getting stronger and stronger, the two Jedi were strongly outnumbered.

But suddenly blaster fire erupted from behind Anakin and Obi, it began to take down troopers. Anakin glanced back and saw the source it was a young man a few years older than Luke and Leia. He was wearing a long sleeved white undertunic, a black leather vest, and blue trousers with heavy black boots.

The man continued to fire at the Stormtroopers. “Quick come with me!”

“How can we trust you?” Leia called out.

“You can’t!” The man smirked.

Anakin and Obi-Wan began to back up toward the man, continuously blocking blaster shots, Luke and Leia crept against the wall avoiding injury. They got to the man then took off down another tunnel. From behind Anakin could hear the noise of troopers rushing for them.

“My ship is just right up there!” The man in the vest pointed to a docking bay close by as he led the way.

They reached the bay and saw a heavily modified YT-1300 light freighter. It was beat up and did not look functional. From the loading ramp a furry Wookiee cried out with a roar.

“You expect us to fly in that hunk of junk?” Leia moaned.

“Don’t talk about her like that!” The man continued toward the ship, the others followed.

As they ran up the loading ramp Stormtroopers came running down the tunnel and continued firing. In the cock-pit the man and the Wookie rush in, with their new flying mates behind them.

“Let’s get this bird in the air Chewie!” The man exclaimed.

The Wookiee began to press different controls on the large illuminated panel. The man in the vest then pulled down on a lever and the ship began to hover out of the bay then zoomed off for the sky.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what is your name?” Obi-Wan questioned as the ship made its way quickly for the clouds.

“Solo… Han Solo.” The man smiled.

 

Han to the rescue !
Love this AU switch and the plot seems to progress on hyperdrive. Great story. Tag me

I knew the moment that you described the rescuer that it was Han Solo! Han is right behind Anakin Skywalker for the coolest hero in teh movies!

I have a feeling that once the dust settles that there are going to be lots of questions. Lots of fhem.

Chapter Eleven​

Secrets Revealed​

Luke turned the corner into the small both area where Anakin and Leia sat in complete silence. “Han is going to take us to Naboo my homeworld… we will be safe there…” The Prince’s voice trailed off at sight of the two.

Anakin glanced up at Luke with painful eyes. “Luke… please sit down we need to talk…”

Luke took a seat across from Anakin and Leia, folding his hands on his lap and staring at the ground.

“Listen I know Leia already knows some of this but there is much I need to explain…” Anakin took a deep breath. “My name is Anakin Skywalker, I’m your dad.” Anakin sighed. “Me and your mother had our differences and the Jedi code made our marriage forbidden. So we separated, and in order to hide you from the Empire you two were raised separately… and…”

“And you just hid from us our whole lives! Never once contacting us!” Leia exclaimed.

“Leia… I… I did things that were not right. I didn’t want my past to affect your lives… So I just watched over you in secret Leia… and I knew you would be fine on Naboo in the care of Padme, Luke.” Anakin’s eyes began to well up with tears.

“You’re a… a Jedi?” Luke asked.

“Was… was a Jedi. That religion no longer exist… it is forgotten.” Anakin shook his head.

“But were your children… we… we can be Jedi!” Luke got excited.

“And live lives of lies like him!” Leia budded in.

“No! No… you will not be Jedi. We will get you to safety and you will live quiet lives. Or the Empire will come after you… If the Emperor knew you where you were he would… control you…” Anakin rose from his seat.

“But!” Luke pleaded.

“No! Okay, no!” Anakin stormed off down a corridor.

Luke and Leia stared at each other for a moment, both with tears in their eyes. So much was happening; they didn’t know what to do…

“When we come out of hyperspace we will be in the Chommell Sector, and the Naboo System.” Han said.

He gripped his left hand around a grey lever on the control panel steadily, and pressed down on a green button with his right hand. Obi-Wan peered out of the viewport the stars were long and thin, distorted by the phenomenon of hyperspace.

“Great… just great.” Obi-Wan replied.

The Wookiee sitting in the co-pilot seat in front of Kenobi let out a quiet roar. “Yea Chewie everything will be okay.” Han replied.

Obi-Wan hoped everything was going to be okay. So much was going on. They were now on the run from the Emperor; hopefully Naboo could act as a safe stronghold for the group. They owed a lot to this Han Solo character.

“Here we go.” Han mutter as he pushed the lever upward in it’s socket.

The stars quickly transformed back to normal shape and the ship came out of hyperspace. However the space before them where the beautiful planet of Naboo should have been was an asteroid field.

“What in the hell!” Han cursed.

The thousands of rocks spun out of control, multiple crashing into the Millennium Falcon as Han tried his best to pilot away from them. This was odd, where was Naboo.

“Everyone might want to get in here!” Han called out.

Shortly after his call Anakin, Luke, and Leia came jogging in one after another. Their eyes all widen at the sight of the asteroid field. Luke was at loss of words for moments.

“What… what is going on? Where is Naboo?” Luke curiously asked.

“It’s… it’s not there!” Han glanced back at the Prince.

“Are you saying it’s been destroyed?” Anakin questioned.

“That’s impossible; it would take every single Star Destroyer the Empire owned, and then some to blow up a whole Planet.” Obi-Wan cut in.

Han continued to maneuver through the rocks until the Falcon escaped the heap of asteroids. Off in the distance, on the black backdrop of space was a small grey circled.

“Look there’s a small moon there!” Leia exclaimed.

“That can be a moon; I’ve never seen it in my whole life!” Luke rebutted.

“The Prince is right… That is no moon that’s a space station…” Han’s voice trailed off.

“A space station? How can you be sure?” Anakin wondered.

“Let’s just say… I used to work for the Empire…” Han sighed.

 

Naboo is gone?!?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

SO Luke and Leia know part of the truth and they seem to want to become Jedi. They most likely don't know what that means!

I am betting that Padme is either dead or a prisoner to the Empire.

 

Wow! I'm semi-speechless. I agree with Misty -- Padme's either a prisoner or lost with the rest of the populace although the former seems more likely given her position.

 

So, no more gungans eh?

Padmé might be dead, escaped, or captured idk, it could be time for a rescue mission ... but in any case the loss of Naboo was an excellent idea since the pre-trilogy movies spent a lot of time on that planet. Is Alderann next?

 

I hope padme isn't dead.
