Game On at the Crime of Passion Clue!

We have our cast of characters! I will set up the virtual board over here at Clue Headquarters, divvy out the virtual cards, and PM everyone their opening clues. We can begin accusations today.

The Love Shack Mannor: The six player characters have been roused from their sleep and assembled at the stairs to the wine cellar. There, zipped up in a body bag, is Mr. Stiff, a fifth level tantric grand master and teacher of all things of love here at the mannor..

The local law, Byron Buff, is on one knee finishing the zipping of the body. "There was a murder here last night... and I want to know what happened... I am going to speak to each of you in turn to explain what happened last night. Who killed Mr. Stiff.. If any of you is responsible for Mr. Stiff, I want you come clean with me now. The outside cameras verify that no other individuals were here at the time of the murder so it has got to be one of you."

THE SHERIFF TALKS TO EACH OF YOU IN THE MADAME'S OFFICE. FOR YOUR FIRST POST, GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT OF THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED.. TRY TO RESPOND AS THOUGH YOU DIDN'T HEAR THE OTHER CHARACTER'S DESCRIPTION, BUT TRY TO INCLUDE IDEAS AND THEMES FROM THE OTHER PLAYERS' RECOLLECTIONS TO TELL THE STORY FROM YOUR CHARACTER'S POINT OF VIEW... THIS FIRST POST WILL BE AN ACCUSATION, SO BE SURE TO INCLUDE SUSPECT, WEAPON AND ROOM INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM.

Think about why your character is at the love shack, why you would have killed him (because any of you may have done it!), and perhaps how it is that you don't know whether or not you did it!!! I'll send you your clues momentarily. You can wait for my PM or just start posting.

NOTE: when you want to make your accusation for the day, put the SUSPECT, WEAPON and ROOM in CAPS at the bottom of your post and try to incorporate each of them into your post as well...

Madame Scarlet sat with the Detective first.

"No, I can't see any reason why someone would rub him out," she said with a smirk.

"That's fine... Lates take it from the top.. Where were you at between 11:00pm and 1:00am last night?"

"I was seeing a client, Mr. Envy."

"For the entire time?"

"No, sadly we concluded our business rather prematurely.. I'd say it was 10:00 when we met up in the public baths; I asked him if he'd take a look at something for me here in my office. He's an accontant you know and handles himself and his money quite well. He is most proficient in short term investments though... We parted ways at 11:30 I think. "

"What did you do then?"

"I took a look around the grounds, made sure the security system was in place and went to bed."

"When was the last time you saw Mr. Stiff?"

"At dinner. All the guests were there at seven. All the guests that would spend the night.. They are all on the roster."

"Did anyone else see you between the time of 11:00 and 1:00, when you were on your rounds checking security perhaps?"

"No, not for the entire period. I did see all the other guests in passing when I went on my rounds."

"This would have been around 11:30 right? Did any of them look nervous to you?"

"You mean guilty? No... nothing out of the ordinary that I recall just this moment."

"Ok, I think I have enough for now... Please don't leave the premises.'

?Thank you, Sheriff Buff, for seeing me first.? Violet smiled appreciatively as she sank into the plush chair to the left of the massive oak desk. ?I don?t think I?ll be much help,? she began with a yawn, ?but I appreciate being able to get back to bed as soon as possible?

?Don?t look at me like that,? she sniffed, noting the sheriff?s hard stare. ?It?s not that I don?t care there was a murder here, it?s just,? she casually shrugged her shoulders, ?it really has nothing to do with me.?

?How well did you know Mr. Stiff??

?I didn?t really,? Violet sighed, lifting her hand to examine her cuticles. ?It?s not like I was in need of his teachings or anything. I?m only here because I?ve heard so much about the Love Shack and my?friend and I wanted to check it out.?

?According to this roster, you signed up for the victim?s ?Ultimate Seduction Techniques? class.? The sheriff?s tone was laced with amusement.

?Well, yes,? Violet shifted uncomfortably in her chair. ?Just to see what exactly a man considered to be a seduction technique,? she rolled her eyes.

?Did you take the class??

?I was there, yes,? Violet replied in a bored tone. ?And I didn?t learn a thing. That man,? her voice raised a few octaves, ?stole every bit of material from my?,? she froze, a look of horror flickering across her face. ?I mean, he stole his material from several guides that have been published -,?

?Including yours?? Sheriff Buff opened the top drawer, removing a thick manual. ?The duplicated parts are highlighted,? he offered, sliding the book across the desk.

Violet?s gaze briefly scanned the paperback. ?I recognized some things,? she admitted reluctantly.

?Where were you last night??

?I had a massage, dinner with my friend and went to bed,? Violet answered stiffly.

?Can anyone verify that??

?Well the masseuse can verify the massage,? Violet chuckled, her eyes lighting with glee, ?and the dining room was filled with guests.?

?And afterwards??

?Bed,? she repeated in annoyance.

?Ms. Hayes, this will go a lot easier if you would just cooperate.? The sheriff?s eyes narrowed into a thin slit. ?Were you alone???

?I?I?,? Violet lowered her eyes, her cheeks flushing. ?I?m not exactly sure,? she finally admitted.

?Excuse me??

?Well, I had a bit to drink at dinner, I was very upset you see, and I woke up alone, when I was rudely awakened, I mean, and so I?m just going to assume I was alone. I mean, it?s not like anyone would leave?,? her words trailed off. ?Ah?I mean, I?m not that kind of girl, sheriff.?

This time the sheriff rolled his eyes.

?When was the last time you saw Mr. Stiff??

?At dinner,? she replied demurely. ?All of us were there.?

?To the best of your knowledge, was anyone else upset with him??

?Well Desolate Sand was glaring at him the whole time and?,? Violet paused as a memory flashed through her mind. ?I remember him complaining about Mr. Stiff being a little too friendly with his?lady friend,? she gushed excitedly. ?And he said given the chance he would teach that...man a lesson and they disappeared into the kitchen for a few minutes. Des's answer was short. Normally, he tried not to live up to what his name made people think of. But right at this moment he simply didn't have the time to focus on other possibilities.

"Barry Blanc, sir," he said to the sheriff. "I saw him eating in the wardrobe."

Ally Azure glared at the detective. "So you think I did it!" she exclaimed.

"Somebody killed him, I'm just trying to discover who." Mr. Buff replied.

"I find the accusation incredibly offensive," All declared. "I could never be capable of killing anyone."

"You would be surprised at what people can be capable of," Mr. Buff answered.

Ally glared at him for a moment. "Well it wasn't me," she said.

"Where were you at the time of the murder?" My Buff asked.

"Sleeping," Ally said. "Like most sane people!"

"No need to get defensive," Mr. Buff replied. "Did you sign up for any of Mr. Stiff's classes?"

"Duh!" Ally exclaimed. "That's why I'm here in the first place."

Mr. Buff nodded and wrote down a couple of notes. "Do you know if anyone would have a motive to kill Mr. Stiff?"

"Well," Ally started. "That Madame Scarlett was awfully ticked the other day at Stiff and I know because her room is next to mine. And not long after she was heading to the massage parlor carrying a candlestick."

(We are still on round one of the accusations; I'm giving Kiwi until the end of the day since I started mid day yesterday.)

Jock rolled his eyes at the detective in the brown coat.

"I'm sorry, am I boring you with this murder investigation, Mr. Envy?"

"Don't get into my face, cop. I pay your salary. Lots more of it then the other people here."

The Sheriff kicked the chair into the man's legs, buckling them into sitting down in the cushioned chair, "Have a seat Jock."

"I want my lawyer."

"Do you now? I guess we'll just have to postpone our little chat then.."

Jock's lips curled in a sweet mean smile of dominance.

Sheriff Buff opened the door to the office he was borrowing from Madame Scarlet to conduct the investigation, "ok, let him in."

Jock's eyes grew wide as the Sheriff led a lawyerly looking fellow into the room, "Robert?"

The Sheriff cracked his knuckles at the door, "the Beureau flew your lawyer out this morning just in case. I'll leave you two alone for a few minutes so you can talk."

The Sheriff closed the door with force.

The lawyer in the ghost gray and silver suit crouhed next to his client for whispers, "Sorry Jock... I got a call at 4am and fifteen minutes later some FBI escorted me in. They are interested in closing this case QUICK. This Stiff had friends in HIGH places. Tell me you didn't have anything to do with this."

"Mr. Gray... I just don't remember... I woke up with blood on my hands... But I don't remember...doing anything last night.... I must be getting framed..."

"Ok, listen, just try to remember everything you can from last night.. Write it down for me.. If we need to we can use that as a dispoition to plea this down..But if you were framed, then you should be able to help incriminate the real killer..."

"Plea?? I'm not going to jail!!!"

"No no - of course not... I'm going to do my best.."

"I should hope so... I've got enough on you on fraud that I might just write someone a letter so I'll have some company - if I wasn't happy with your work."

Mr. Gray took on a gray skin tone, "no no... we'll figure this thing out I promise... Write up that deposition though... We need to point fingers as best we can at other alternatives while the crime scene is still fresh..."

 

Barry Blanc stared at the detective as he droned on and on about Mr. Stiff's murder, and how he needed everyone's help to figure out whodunnit. Barry cut him off mid-sentence with a huge yawn.

"So... you want me to tell you what happened. Well, I'm sorry but I - I - I, ::yawns:: I don't really have a clue. But that blue chick, whatshername, Azure? She was making an awful racket last night, must've been around the honeymoon suite because the close proximity to my room was keeping me up. ::yawns:: Y'know, I saw her carrying around a length of rope earlier this evening, maybe she was trying out something from Mr. Stiff's classes..."

Barry's voice trails off as his head slumps forward and his eyes close. "But what do I know..." he murmurs before he falls asleep.

"Impressive," Des commented as he watched a ghostly suited man being led into where the Sheriff had been conversing with Mr Envy. "Back up."

Glancing at the woman who had been the one to discuss the night's adventure with the Sheriff after him, Des nodding a greeting. "Ms Azure. How lovely." His gaze was deadpan, but a crooked smile squashed his cheeks upwards. "I wonder, in any of the, ahem, classes we have attended here, have you noticed how Violet is always the one wanting to involve Mr Stiff in his own teachings?

"Perhaps something happened last night between them during such an occasion. A oil-rub gone wrong could easily result in ... death," Des finally said without a trace of sunshine in his voice.

"I should have finished what I started at dinner. He just didn't take heed when I, err, spoke to him in the kitchen," Des finished quickly.

"Those teachings happened to be mine," Violet sniffed indignantly. "And the only thing I was interested in "involving" Mr. Stiff in was a heafty lawsuit and one of you robbed me of that oppertunity!"

Turning her back on Desolate Sand and Ally Azure, she batted her vibrant blue eyes at Sheriff Buff. "You don't believe I had anything to do with the murder, do you Sheriff?"

"It seems to me you had the best motive -,"

"To sue, not kill!" Two tears slid down Violet's cheeks. "And if you want to know about motive, you don't have to look any farther than the man currently sequestered in your office with his lawyer. Have you noticed anyone else asking for their lawyers?"

"That often indicates stupidity rather than innocence," the sheriff replied dryly.

"Excuse me!" Desolate Sand exclaimed.

"I beg your pardon," Ally Azure sniffed.

"Who are you calling stupid?" Barry Blanc demanded.

"How dare you!" Madame Scarlett shrieked.

"I wasn't calling anyone stupid. I merely pointed out, there have been numerous instances where not asking for one's lawyer wasn't...," he paused, carefully considering he next words, "always the wisest choice by the persons of interest. And besides," he gazed pointedly at Violet. "I was only addressing Ms. Hayes."

"So you're calling me stupid?" Violet huffed, hands on her hips.

"I only answered your question," the sheriff explained. "Now, perhaps you'd like to elaborate on your hint that Mr. Jock has a better motive than you."

"Well," Violet began. "I'm not a busybody or anthing but I happend to overhear Mr. Jock ask Mr. Stiff to meet him last night after dinner. Then I saw Mr. Jock remove a candlestick from the dinning room . And this morning, the servant who woke him up mentioned he had blood on his hands. So, it's obvious the killer is

"I'm beginning to think I should get a lawyer," Ally said. She was absolutely, totally anooyed at the current proceedings and the fact that one of them was a killer was actually a bit unnerving. She wasn't quite sure who's story to believe, but just went by what she knew for sure.

"I don't know much about what happened Sheriff, but one thing I do know is that I think I saw him," she glanced towards Barry Blanc coming up from the dungeon stairs carrying some kind of mechqanical device in his hand."

"Really?" asked Mr. Buff.

"She's lying!" Blanc declared.

"We'll see about that," Ally commented. Annoyed she walked away.

"Typical," murmurs Barry as he starts to nod off again. "She makes a false accusation and she can't stay around to back it up. I'm beginning to suspect I was right in my original assumption, but - ::yawns:: - now that I think about it, I smelt burnt chocolate around her as she made her way towards the honeymoon suite." Sheriff Buff started to question further, but Barry doze back to sleep...

"Humph," Violet sniffed, her eyes darting from Barry Blanc to Ally Azure. "Sheriff, I hope you're not falling for Ms. Azure's desperate attempt to divert attention from herself." Turning to the sheriff, she continued, "because she certainly had her own reason to want Mr. Stiff dead...oops!" She covered her mouth in mock horror.

"What do you mean by that?" Azure demanded, whirling around in outrage.

"Oh come now, Ms. Azure," Violet purred. "Surely you didn't think you could follow Mr. Stiff to the Servants Quarters with the Neck Massager in your hand without anyone noticing?"

"I...I...," Ally's brows furrowed together. "I don't remember that."

"Of course not," Violet sniffed, rolling her eyes.

"Why you -,"

"Enough." Sheriff Buff stepped between the two women. "Ms. Hayes, are you accusing -,"

"Yes," Violet interruped, her eyes flashing with triumph.

"First off, I don't have a reason for wanting Stiff dead, I barely spoke with the guy," Ally defended. "And secondly Violet Hayes has absolutely no grounds for blaming me."

"Then who do you think did?" asked the Sheriff.

"That guy...oh what's his name. Desolate Sand, well I saw him leaving the dining room the other day, smelling very strong of chocolate."

"Really?"

"I don't lie," Ally proclaimed with a grin.

"Now, come on!" exclaimed Barry. "There's nothing at all unusual about smelling chocolate from the dining room, especially when they were serving fudge sundaes last night. However - " He broke off to cover yet another yawn. "There's absolutely no reason for you to have any chocolate on you, especially around the dungeon, from where you were hanging around before."

"Chocolate as a murder weapon? Now that doesn't seem right." said the Sheriff.

Madame Scarlet offered, "When this is all over, if I'm not ruined for the scandal, perhaps we can teach you to broaden your mind a little. Chocolate is one of the most sensual aphrodisiacs in the world.. It is true that Mr. Stiff has some that was so potent that it could have, if not dilluted, been easily turned into an overdosing potion."

"Are you saying he was poisoned with sexual chocolate?"

"I'm just telling you its possible.. We here at the Love Shack know about Mr. Stiff's work in chocolates to bring about altered states... It isn't a huge leap to presume he could not be overwhelmed with it."

"It doesn't seem that this Love Shack preaches ANYTHING in moderation... I don't suppose Mr. Stiff couldn't have taken too much of this chocolate accidentally?"

"No - he was strong in mind and body and knew very well the precise dosage to bring ecstacy; and it would have taken several times that amount for this kind of issue to araise..." said Madame Scarlet.

"Could it have been suicide then?"

"Mr. Stiff always seemed the happy sort.. He had his best selling books.. He made love many times each day. As far as the State of Nevada is concerned, at least in this county, he had to be tested for terrible diseases several times a month and his last month's tests came back resounding negative... I suppose he may have had a hidden pain... But if so, I wouldn't know what it was..."

"Does anyone else have knowledge of whether Mr. Stiff may have wanted to kill himself??"

Desolate Sand

"Perhaps this killer was smart..." mused Des as he started to pace the overly plush room. A lot of the people around him were suggesting that it had to do with food. A certain type of food. "Chocolate," said Des, immediately regretting it as his stomach rumbled.

It could have been in his stomach throughout the entire night! Imagination was hitting Des's mind like a sandstorm. Jock was certainly hiding something. He may have used the chocolate during the evening meal!

After informing the sheriff of his new accusation, Des's mind returned to its normal stillness.
