Leia reached out and poked the little baby several times to see if she was alive.

Talk about really curious.

And I really like the reactions the family had to naming their newest member Shimi. I agree that it is fitting and that it will help Anakin in the long run.

That last chapter had to be the cutest ever. I too am a sap for Ani/Padme romance and that scene at the end of the last chapter was simple adorable! I loved the twins poking their sister, that was funny. Please add me to the PM list!

Great story. I have to ask though, why wasn't it Anakin that killed Palpatine? That struck me as odd since he's the Chosen One. He's supposed to destroy the Sith, but in the end Obi-Wan did it. Maybe I have read incorrectly?

The other thing is: what goes on with the rest of the galaxy? Is the Empire gone and the Republic restored? Did the Jedi Order get rebuilt? Surely they get news about current events on Naboo? Although I get that this is a story mostly about Anakin and Padme, but I think that they would probably read and talk about what is going on, especially after they had public offices for so long.
