    I don't mind the banners.
But the google search thing should be fixed.
I hate when it says search this forum and it searches the one associated with the banner instead of the forum I am actually in.

Yes, I've moaned about this forever. All that has to happen is that a search box be put in the header section of JCC (maybe to the right of the 'Mods Online' bit), not in the banner section.

Also, I retract my thanks from last night, it appears that the prominent links I saw were made obvious by the poster's markup, not by the stylesheet.

Please, alter the current JCC stylesheet to underline all links.

The stylesheet has been updated, jp. Grimby changed it and I just loaded it. You might have to do an F5 or a right-click and Refresh to see the change.

Does anybody seem to know when the Forum Feud game will end?

2008: The 50th season of L.A. Dodger baseball

2007-2008 L.A. Lakers: At least they beat expectations!

How does the game affect you right now, Tunick? Do you lie awake at night fearing The RICHARDSONS might lose in the final and that as a consequence the JCC will be subjected to another forum's banner for a week? Is it causing that much trouble for you?

It's out of principle, and the fact that we'd have to subject to another hideous non JCC banner.

Well, we've all been subjected to your Weekly Polls. That's far worse.

    Not to mention the red.

    What is the principle?

    Uncertainty principle, I'd imagine.

My dear Everton: That 99% of the JCC doesn't play, nor cares about this stupid game, which makes it ridiculous to subject the whole fourm to a stupid banner.

The purpose of the game was to get our constituent forums interacting with one another. That is a good and laudable aim. The reaction - that I can tell - to the banner changes has been one of amusement. Certainly I've noticed a predominantly amused reaction in the forums that the RICHARDSONS have beaten when I've gone across to inspect hal's handywork (magnificent as it is). And once people discover the reason, the vast majority take it in their stride safe in the knowledge that it's not a permanent blight on their e-life - just a bit of fun taking place in these forums that are supposed to be fun. If this game, and the 'dire consequences' of defeat, had indeed produced an overwhelmigly negative reaction on the forums I suspect we would've known about it by now.

So "doesn't play" certainly doesn't equate to "doesn't care"... rather "doesn't know" and then "doesn't mind".

My dear Tunick, I think you are projecting your bitterness onto a JC population that just doesn't need it.

    When three conditions are met:

    1) You start posting in regular font

    2) Kobe actually wins something without Shaq

    3) Inty Edit: You know the ToS better than that! And, I'm sure his mother in a very nice lady.

    1) That aint happening.

    2) Kobe will have his chance again next June.

    3) Very funny.

No Roper, it's not. Even if it's not 99%, I'm sure a majority of the JCC doesn't give a crap.

Nonsense, Tunick. The vast majority of the JCC is sporting knockoff RICHARDSON colours.

At this point we're just speaking in generalities and we're not really having a discussion. The game is what it is. It's a little fun thing that we decided to do through the summer period. I think it's a fantastic idea.
