    Does this sentence sound familiar to anyone else? My brother used to say this when we were really little, and I don't know why. I thought he just made it up, but I Googled it and other people have asked about it, but with no solid answers. Was this from a trailer or Holiday Special or Marvel Comic or something? Thanks!

    Interesting. I didn't know that version of the opening text made it into the Story of SW record. The record's phrasing is of course based on the ANH shooting script, which opened with the words:

    A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away an incredible adventure took place...

    The final film, of course, pared it down a bit.

    Good example of how it's effective to be concise.
    The Great Adventure bit is reduntant, unnecessary and brings the phrase down.
