Now on with the Post.........


Qui-Gon was adamant that he would not leave Obi-Wan, and he would not give up.

Qui-Gon had an alternative plan which he had discussed with Lee, Yoda and Mace.
If the sparring session went badly they had agreed to allow Qui-Gon one week to repair the relationship and make amends and restore their bond.

Otherwise Obi-Wan would be taken from Qui-Gon and placed with another Master.

Qui-Gon could feel the tension and stress around Obi-wans aura as they worked up from the practice session.

Obi-wan was stiff and on edge, he actions were usually fluid.
it always amazed Qui-Gon at his grace of movement.

Before all this happened the boy was light on his feet, and every step was carefully orchestrated.
As Qui-Gon watched Obi-wan warm up he realised that he must have spent hours practicing down in the underground hall.

But looking at him now there was no sign of that confident step, he seemed apprehensive.

They sparred for several minutes seemingly sizing each other up, and then Obi started to show more aggression than he usually did.

In the past Obi would always be on the defensive and would let Qui-Gon lead and teach, but now he was acting brash and a touch of arrogance was seeping through into the boys movements.

Although the bond was fractured Qui-Gon could see and sense the change in his Padawan, before the lad had always
been eager and attentive and would wait for instruction.

But now he was deliberately challenging Qui-Gon, acting reckless ,rushing in with his sabre every chance he got.

He was being disrespectful, and disobeyed every command Qui-Gon gave.

Obi-Wan attacked wildly swinging his sabre, putting as much force as he could behind the blows.

Each time he swung wildly he would loose his balance, crashing to the floor.
He would glare at Qui-Gon waiting for the reprimand.
But each time Qui-Gon would just say in a calm reassuring voice

?Calm your self let the force flow though you?.
Then he would wait for Obi-wan to get up.
This riled Obi-wan even more.

(Now he is treating me like a baby, I?m not even worth teaching, he?s probably laughing at me) Obi thought to himself.
Obi-wan sprung to his feet and barrelled at Qui-Gon, swinging his sabre towards Qui-Gons arm.

Qui-Gon jumped up somersaulting over Obi?s head.

He landed behind the boy and brought his own sabre across and touched the boy on the neck signalling the end of the match.

?Padawan you are letting your emotions lead you
You are leaving your self open to attack? Qui-Gon calmly said.

The sting of the sabre was only meant to teach awareness, but in Obi?s state it riled him to the point where he finally lost his temper totally.

He spun around glaring at his Master, and screamed

?Well at least I have emotions, and so WHAT, if I leave my self open to attack. What does it matter
I am not going to be a Jedi anyway?

He stepped back a couple of paces and swung his sabre in an arc then powered it down.
Throwing it to Qui-Gon. He screamed
?Here you have it I don?t want it?

?Padawan Please calm down?..Qui started to say.
?Don?t call me Padawan - I?m not you know!

*blinks a few tears and then loses control*

OMG! QUI-GON DON'T KILL HIM! Let me do it!

 

Seven: ~yawns~ It's soooooo late.

Vader: What are you doing?

Seven: I wanted to leave a review!

Vader: So.... you're staying up to write a review?

Seven: ... Yes. And to do some internet stuff. Isn't that okay?

Vader: Well then, hop to it.

Seven: This is once again very good. But I still feel bad for Obi. More soon please!

Seven: ~turns to Vader~ Happy now?

Vader: Strangely... Yes.

Seven: Imagine that.

 

Oh, poor Obi, so lost and afraid. I think Qui has finally got a good idea though, they need time together to figure this mess out.

Beautiful chapter. I hope they're going to nice, relaxing vacation planet where they can work on their issues together. I'm glad Obi-Wan is being honest about his feelings now. That's very important.

I woke with a jolt, I sat up looking out the window. We had landed.
I glanced at Qui-Gon but he was busy with the landing to notice me.

I wondered where we were, we hadn?t been flying long enough to be on Bandomeer or one of the other planets.

I didn?t recognise anything, actually there was nothing around to recognise.
There were no buildings, no city, just trees and mountains, we had landed in a valley .

Qui-Gon stood up and opened the hatch and lowered the ramp.
He disappeared down the ramp without muttering a word.

I got up and looked out to see a cabin, surrounding the cabin was a veranda.
Qui-Gon had gone inside.

I stood at the top of the ramp not knowing what to do.
Shortly Qui-Gon came back, brushing past me, and going to the back of the shuttle.

I watched as he gathered several bags and then he went back to the cabin.
He came back again, this time he picked up several boxes and a smaller bag.

As he got to where I was standing he dropped the bag in front of me.
?This bag belongs to you, it has some of your personal belongings in it
When you are ready you can bring it in to the cabin I am going to make something to eat.? He said as he walked down the ramp towards the cabin.

I picked up the bag and slowly walked to the bottom of the ramp.
I looked around but there was nothing to see for miles except trees, a creek, mountains and the cabin.

I stood there for quite a while, until I could smell what seemed like pastry cooking.
As I stepped off the ramp the doors of the shuttle closed and the ramp retracted.

(Just great) I thought (Qui-Gon must have preset the locking devise, so it would engage as soon as I stepped off it.
Now I don?t have any choice but to go into the cabin, I cannot stay out here all night)

I walked up onto the veranda there was a table and a long bench at one end, and at the other end was a couch
facing the valley.

I sat down on the bench, which was near the table. I could hear Qui-Gon humming, I wondered why he was so happy.


What were we doing here, I expected Bandomeer or some place like it.
But this place, I didn?t recognise it at all, and I certainly wasn?t going to ask HIM.!

Soon Qui-Gon came out and put a plate of blueberry muffins, hot spicy bread rolls, tomatoes and cheese
on the table, then he brought out two mugs one was filled with something that smelled like hot chocolate.

I didn?t move, but I watched him setting the food on the table.

I couldn?t believe the food he brought out they were all my favourite foods.

( I didn?t think he knew what food I like, in the three years I don?t think he ever asked me.
I just ate what ever he put in front of me.) I thought.

?Obi-Wan, I know how you feel about me, and I don?t blame you one bit.
But I can assure you that we are not leaving here until I have made amends and have proven to you that I do not hate you, that I do want you as an apprentice and that I Do Love You. Even if it takes another Three Years!? Qui-Gon stated.

I watched as he filled his plate with some of the food and picked up his mug, he walked down the other end of the veranda and sat facing the sunset.

I was so hungry, I stared at the food for a while and thought (This is stupid I can still eat even though I don?t like him anymore.) So I moved along the table and ate, and the hot chocolate was wonderful.
After I finished eating I sat and watched the back of Qui-Gon.

He was leaning back on the couch watching the sun setting;
I looked past him and noticed it was beautiful.

The sun had turned a bright orange and it was slowly disappearing, you could imagine that the ground was
swallowing it up.

The orange was reflecting off a few clouds that were high in the sky, and mixed with the light grey clouds they appeared
a deep pink colour.

I had never really seen a sunset before not as pretty as this was anyway.

When Qui-Gon turned around and walked towards me, I was still watching the clouds.

I had my elbows on the table and my hands rest

 

OHH!! GREAT POST!!

 

Very nice. I loved the story of the rock. But poor Obi-Wan just can't believe anything his master says, can he? I'm interested to see how you will break through to the boy.
