A minor issue with my post count

So I was looking at my post count just now, because I wanted to see how close I was to 55000. It said I had 54998. I went out and posted in a thread, and checked my post count again, but it still said 54998. What's up with that?

In fact, it's been doing that a lot as I approach each increment of 100. Any ideas what's wrong?

right now it's at 55,001 for me.

could it be an issue with your cache, where you're getting an old page, instead of the most recent one?

 

It's at 55001 because I've posted a couple times since I made this thread.

 

I think it comes out even in the end.On this username,it said "143" this morning,and I posted again and it said 143.Then,I posted again and it said 145.So,it comes out even.

okay, at 11:48am, you'd made 9 posts after this thread. this thread should have been 55000, so the 9th post after this, your profile should have read 55009. which it did. so it's probably either a problem with your cache, or the database is lagging occasionally. but, overall, it seems to be catching up, so you're not losing any posts.

I'm not. In fact part of me is proud of the fact that I have 48000 less posts then Bib.

 

I agree. I have about a third of the posts Bib does, and I'm not proud to have even that many.

 

With about 16,550 posts, I can honestly say I have no life.

 

Wouldn't it be funny if his post count got reset to 0 for some odd reason?

Okay, I guess I need to come out now and say that post count doesn't matter.

Honestly, I never felt that it mattered, and my own personal post count was never anything to do cartwheels over. In fact, I think that without postcounts, we could really cut down on some of the spamming issue, epecially in the JCC.

My above post was an ill-concieved attempt at humoring Bib, because, really, none of us should probably take this place as seriously as we do, myself certainly included.

I apologize if anyone felt as though my words set a bad precedent.

I couldn't agree any more. Quality, is great, but when adding quantity to it, it is the best postcount/post out there.
