Hundreds of thousands of years ago, or maybe a little longer (or maybe not quite as long ago as that), a cat lived by the name of The God of Thunder. Nobody knew how the cat came by this name, but the locals revered the animal because of it. The God of Thunder was sad, though, because he was the only cat in the world. He had no memory of his parents, or of his time as a kitten... he knew only that he was The God of Thunder.

One day, The God of Thunder was running across a field, when he ran into another creature, the likes of which he had never seen before. The creature was slightly bigger than The God of Thunder, and panted a lot in the hot sun. "Bark!" exclaimed the creature. The God of Thunder was not intimidated though, and moved forward to confront his new enemy. The creature took The God of Thunder's movements as a declaration of WAR! The God of Thunder leapt into the air and screeched at the creature. The creature backed up a little, and then charged towards The God of Thunder.

Suddenly the sunshine abated, replaced by thick cumulonimbus. Both combatants stood stock still, in awe at the sudden turn of micro-climate. It began to rain. The God of Thunder regained his senses first, and used the rain to confuse the poor creature - who was bewildered by the whole situation. The creature fell to the ground, and cowered as The God of Thunder rose up on its hind legs just as the cloud gave a mighty BOOM!!!! Lightning illuminated a frightened expression on the creature's face and with that it ran. The God of Thunder merely stood and watched as the weather cleared and the Sun burst out once more. "You stood little chance", thought The God of Thunder.

How would one pronounce the name "The God of Thunder"? Is it the same as The God of Thunder, except with verbal emphasis and lowered pitch to suggest sonic italicization?
