Beyond - Legends A NEW BEGINNING( Zekk and ?)

"A new beginning, a new beginning..."whispered the insubstantial voice.

"Who...are you?"Zekk asked,rather forcefully. He turned around wildly, looking in all directions. He was in despair.For the past few nights he had been having strange dreams, and now this.
"Who are you?"he asked one last tiem, almost to himself.


He sat himself down on his bunk, crossing his legs and closing his eyes. He knew in his heart that the dreams and the voices was the Force, calling out to him, telling him something, but he didn't want to listen.



Listening to the Force is what the Masters do, he argued with himself. An inconsequential Jedi Knight like himself had no business following the whims of the Force. Ever since the war with the Yuuhzan Vong had drawn to a close, Zekk had been feeling left out. The Skywalkers and Solos had left for Correlia, many Jedi like Tahiri and Tekli had left with Zonama Sekot, and the rest were packing up to go to Ossus to start a new Jedi Academy.



He should have realized that the problem lay in his not wanting to be in any of those places. Somehow he felt distanced from all the other Jedi. He had not been given a major assignment by the masters for quite some time. He knew that he was not considered to be very important, he was no where in comparison to Jacen or Jaina Solo: one the future of the Jedi, the other a future Admiral.



He knew that as a Jedi he should not resent his position,but he did. This scared him too. He had no wish to return to the Shadow Academy. Keeping this in mind he let out a sharp breath and then spoke to himself,


"Okay, lets see what the Force wants from me."


He started easing all thoughts out of his mind, until he reached a stage where he was almost asleep. It was then, when his mind was most relaxed, that a barrage of images hit him. He breathed in deeply and began sifting through these images, concentrating on the ones he desired to see.These images were the same ones as those he saw in his dreams.



The first one he saw was of a regal looking man in Jedi robes,placing a golden crown on the ground. The second was of himself, only he looked more mature, he was meditating in some leafy glade. The third was of a small boy, walking away from his parents. The last was of Zekk and another person(he couldn't make out who), swimming with powerful strokes, deep into an ocean.



Suddenly, he heard a voice,"Open your eyes Zekk."

Quite interesting. I like how you capture Zekk. It's different, but reminiscent of The Lost Ones. More?

 

The fact that Zekk feels left out is different, but interesting.
