a new color lightsaber

I read a post recently and gave me an idea. If GL was to created a new color lightsaber which one would you want to see. It could happen with his crazy mind. Post me what you think

We could have a Jedi that's a bit... um, shall we say, light in the loafers. He could have a hot pink saber.

"Oh, would you evil people just GO AWAY! You're completely ruining our color scheme with that black cloak of yours."

We already have a pink. Darth Vader's isnt quite red, you know.

as i recall it took samual l jackson to ask for a diffrent color and lucas was still hestant to do it so we will probably never see a new color.

 

I think orange or yellow would be really cool. One of the characters in Jedi Power Battles the video game has an orange or yellow saber I can't remember which. Anyway, if they can do it in a video game why not in the movie.

 

I think this is just for fun...

 

weezyslob, Plo Koon has a yellow saber in Jedi Power Battles, he doesn't have it in AOTC becasue GL wants the jedi to only have green and blue, wit the exceotion of Mace.

 

Those 3 saber colours were used in the arena mostly due to them standing out on the colour of background in the arena. Yellow and such wouldn't stand out as well. That's basically how those decisions were made. In ROTJ, the only reason luke got a green saber was to stand out on the blue sky.

 

There are a total of SIX lightsaber blade colors:

1) Red
2) Orange
3) Yellow
4) Green
5) Blue
6) Purple

Orange and Yellow are in the EU. They can be seen/used in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, SW: Jedi Power Battles and Jedi Outcast (You can see them in Single Player and use them in Multiplayer). Purple used to be only in the EU until SLJ wanted a Purple blade for his character in Episode II.

There's no such thing as a pink lightsaber blade. There is only a pink one in your mind. The special effects used to make the blade in the movies were not as good when the OT was made. They made Vader's saber WHITE to the point where there was no red at all in Episode IV (1977), slightly pinkish in Episode V (1980), and a fairly decent red in Episode VI (1983). That's the best they could do at the time. When the OT is redone again in 2005(6?) , I hope they fix those horrid saber color effects.

pure white would be nice

 

White's a boring, dull, and flat color! There's no sense in having one, and it looks so totally fake! That's a big grievance of mine to the most recent OT:SE. That was not even fixed!

AAHHH! OMG, no! Ooh, the unnessesary flat color! That's only used for the core of the blade anyway.

 

I actually like white- or pink. My girly side. How 'bout different shades of other colors? Like lime green or navy blue. Although plaid would be nice. here's a better one- multicolor!
