Ever since Hasbro bought the Star Wars toy line back in 1995 I've been waiting for a new Indiana Jones toy line to come out and I'm still waiting. I've only seen one Indiana Jones toy in my life which was the Micro Machine gift set they release in the mid 90s.

Right now the Disney theme parks are selling a Raiders of the Lost Ark line of six figures but you can only get them at the parks. SInce there only available in two location in the US they're selling for over 30 bucks on the collectors market.

Sure Hasbro or one of the other toys companys can see the incredible intrest in Indiana Jones toys. I hope some decides to start making them. Maybe this will happen towards the release of Indy 4.

Personally I have no opinion on this because I've stopped buying toys. But sure, there are probably people who want them, so why not.

(You're really trying to get this place more active, aren't you?)

I'm definitely for a new IJ toy line - it's long overdue. With other, more obscure properties getting toy lines (Hellraiser, the Muppets, etc.) I'm surprised a new IJ toy line has not come out yet.
The line by Kenner back in the '80's was o.k., and the sub-par recent Disney exclusives are alright (but they look more like foreign knock-offs than modern toys), but with the advances in technology/sculpting, I think that a new, detailed, improved line would be great.

I think Art Asylum (the ones who did the Star Trek: Enterprise figures) would be a great company to make these toys. If they're worried that the won't sell to anyone other than the hardcore fan, they can sell them exclusively to comic book shops.

Anyway, here is what I would like to see in a new IJ toy line:

    Raiders of the Lost Ark:

    Indiana Jones w/hat & whip
    Marion Ravenwood w/Monkey
    Spy w/eyepatch
    Cairo Swordsman
    Sallah
    Belloq
    Toht

IJ and the Temple of Doom:

Indiana Jones in white tux w/diamond (from Club Obi-wan)
Willie Scott in evening gown (from Club Obi-wan)
    Short Round
    Mola Ram
British General (can't remember his name - the one who was at the feast and who later battled the Thugees near the bridge at the end)

Please feel free to add to this list. That's all I could think of right now, but I'm sure there are more great potential figures.

I don't think Indy is the type of movie to have toys for.

I don't really care because I don't buy toys any more.

Most likely those were the figures from the Disney Theme Parks.

Problem: So many Nazis wandering around these movies. How can you make a toy of a Nazi without seeming crass?

    Rick McCallum loves you!

Yeah, Adam has a good point.
What kid would want a toy line that only features the good guys.
and what toy company would make a nazi action figure?

These films while loved by children, are not meant for children as much as SW is. I mean the whole sleeping with father and son thing, the whole Marion and Indy on the boat, the whole Indy hitting the kid.

These movies are more for adults then kids.
    Kids love the films.
But it is not really as much a kids film.

I want a Hitler toy, that would be fun...

Imagine all the things you could do with it, it would become my own private voodoo doll.

I don't know how much the voodoo doll would hurt him.
Its kind of difficult to make ashes feel pain.

Okay let me change that, it is sort of hard to make ashes, in an unknown location in Russia feel pain.

After the Russians attacked Berlin they found what was left of Hitler within the bunker. They took the ashes and other stuff with them.

So can you make it feel pain
    1. if it is not living
    2. if you don't know where it is.

If you can, we should all fear you.

I've seen tons of Nazi action figures in ToyFare magazine. There's several lines of WWII action figures that features Nazi and German soldiers, Generals and such. If they leave of the Swastikas I don't see the problem.

It could cause some trouble in the news, trouble GL and Spielberg would like to avoid.

what parent wants their children playing with Nazi action figures?

While Hasbro has made good Star Wars toys, I would love for Toy Biz to do it. For one thing, they are bigger, and also more detailed. They made the Lord of the Rings figures, which, IMHO, are some of the most detailed and realistic looking figures that have been done recently.
