FF:VIC A November VicFF meet up. Not wanting to steal Mixo's thunder but here's one for ya

Hi guys,

As the title suggests I'm not aiming to steal Mixo's role as Legend of the Universe, however, I made a statement in one of my other threads about organising a simple get together that both LordVaderFF and I will be attending. If one other forumner shows up it'll effectively become an official VicFF meet, if not, then it'll just be a happy pizza lunch for the two of us and I'll have proven the point I made in my original thread.

So here it is.

Saturday November 15th at Midday - so you have three weeks notice.
Location is Toto's Pizza Restaurant in Lygon St Carlton (around the corner from Queensberry St). For those taking PT, this location is one block from the CBD.

No RSVPs are required, either ya turn up or you don't.

Should be a blast

I may be there! I will be in Melbourne that day/night.

 

That'd be a nice little jaunt up the road for me, so I can definitely stop by for a coffee at least

 

lol, would you believe I have an exam on? Well I do sadly, ironically in Commercial law, which may become redundant knowledge given the socialisation of wealth around the world.

However, I'll be trying to make the December meet, so apologies for another absence, and kudos to Dags for chucking something simple and accessable up. I hope all folks who ARE free make the time to turn up, not just for the sake of the forum but for the chance to meet the extraordinary Mixo Joe in person.

 

Actually I'm not sure if I've met Mixo before so this will be a pleasant surprise

If the weather is nice and sunny we'll probably end up spending our time outdoors at the front.

Psst here's a tip, the polo fungi pasta at Totos is quite good. End Psst.

 

Question: Is there going to be some kind of booking made or something on the table so I know where you are? I know we've met before but I don't have that great a memory for faces.

 

that's OK...we don't have great faces.....LOL....oh I kill myself.

 

Yeah I thought about this one already and figured the best thing for me to do is wear a distinct SW T-shirt or jacket that people can look for. Besides LordVaderFF and myself will keep an eye open for anyone who walks in by themselves who look like they're looking for someone, just so we can say
"Found someone you have hmmm"

Unfortunately my Mixo moment was in the form of a note that was passed back to me when I got back to the SWI table. Damn.

Mixo ---> thanks for popping by and letting me know you were about. Chances are we probably passed each other a heap of times. In case you didn't know, I was wearing the jacket with all the patches over it (with the big Batman one on the back).
