A period of Waersome banners await us: Games Banner Submission Thread

The Games Forum moderating team (SoloCommand, The2ndQuest, Errant_Venture and our ever lovable Jedi_Dajuan) have decided to begin a banner rotation scheme similar to the one used in the ROTS forum.

Banners may be submitted at any time, using this thread to post links to banners you have created. New banners will be added to the rotation based on a vote by the Games moderating team and our ever lovable Jedi_Dajuan. Any ties will be broken by a randomly selected gamer.

You may use also use this thread to submit requests for a specific banner in the rotation. The forum managers will rotate randomly, but frequently.

I know there are many talented designers out there, and we should have lots of fun with this!

Are the higher powers OK with non-SW / non-LucasArts themed banners?

Are there any other such designs on the TFn boards?

 

I'm okay with non-SW/non-LA themes. The MS as a whole isn't even aware this thread is even up. Unless Quest or Rich say otherwise you guys have total creative freedom.

 

Well... banner designers be warned of potential drama that a non SW-themed banner will probably create in comms, and that all your hard work is potentially going to be pulled by the admins.

 

Well some FF banners have little to do with SW, they focus on the region/city they encompass moreso. A general game themed one I think would be ok, I mean it is the games forum. Just my opinion though, and as the "ever loveable Jedi_Dajuan" and not a games mod, that's all it is, my opinoin

 

Well this is a games forum so I see no reason to stick to only SW games.

I'll go to bat for any banner designer in Comms.

Flare's banner has an exciting duality too it, however, his jpg encoding is UTTERLY ATTROCIOUS

I must concur with what my British counterpart said.


Feel free to do banners on any videogame ever made (so long as it is TOS appropriate).

So if you wish to do pong, then go for it. Pacman? w0rd. Or ZeroWing. Now that would be one helluva great banner.

 

Could SG/BS from the shows be added in, as they have games? Or just things from the games, like screen shots?

 

Scenes from the shows work as well my friend. Since there is a game

I'd love to have a purely based SG and BSG banner but I doubt that one would fly. . . so the game thing allows it to be made and hosted.

 

That's what was going through my head. Might be fun to have them in the background or something, ala the 42 and forceboat in the current one, as that would draw less attention.

Oo, I could see a SW lego one, that would rock! Anyone who makes me a Lego banner gets um, something to be determined later, yeah that works... If only I was good with bannermaking, I could try it

That is true it would draw less attention.


The way I see it is this is a games forum. Nowhere does it say STAR WARS GAMES only. Its just been assumed that they can only have SW banners. Well I think its time to change that IMO as it gives more variety and most of the games here are non-SW even if the SW ones are more talked about.

Guys, why do we even have competitions? Honestly, Flarestorm could do everything himself and it would kick ass. Nobody else has a chance against his awesomeness anyway.
