A Petition For The Game ModStars

I have created a game called ModStars, which has gained lots of good word throughout the members of the JC. Apparently the Admins/Mods doesn't like it. And I understand that, but the reason I want to start a petition (thanks for TheBoogieMan for the idea) for this is to give you the word from the people and give you the decision.

Lot's of discussion has been made whether to give Modpowers to the winner of this game. The winner won't get the powers, only the colors and a title. But still there are two problems that needs to be solved if this game is to start.

1. We need a forum (like the Big Brother -game). A place where the players and judges be.

2. We need three judges (Mods/Admins) which will make the decisions of the winners and so on. Also they will create the tasks that the players must do.

If possible I'd like to update the namelist a much as possible, if not I'll post the list via a normal reply.

I was just reading about this and it sounds wizard cool.
Here's a thought.
For the the contest can they be essay questions where the users have 24-48 hours to answear?
Then a pannel of judges could respond to them.
I like this idea quie a lot.

 

We would need a committee to make the tasks, or the judges would make them. That essay idea sounds great! I believe that I can add your name on the list?

 

I think the JC has far too many games for colours as it is.

Sounds cool and all but there are others that are just as good.

Play them.

 

I also think there's enough of the preception of people as "Mod Wannabes" and suck ups without making a game and labeling people as such.

 

Actually I could care less about colours or anything else. Why anyone would do a job for free is beyond me.
I just like the angle of handling Mod like problems to see what regular users would do.
The comedy could be priceless...

 

Who cares about ModWannabe's? It's only a game, it's not like they actually get any power or long-term effects!
And if there are too many games on, we'll wait, and put it on when there aren't so many.

This would be so much fun, even just to watch.

No offense, but I don't think this needs to go beyond the thread in the JCC.

 

So you believe that this will stay as an idea. And that it won't go any further and won't get any support among the Admins. Let's see what happens and thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Why?

 

1. Like in every reality tv-shows this one needs a secure place where the players can be without knowing the "outside world" (like they have it in The Big Brother). Also outsiders can watch how the players act in different situations without intefering (spelling ?) the playground.

2. We need the judges because of the format. In the original format (this format has been used in choosing film stars, directors etc.) three professionals from the nation's music industry will plan the tasks and make the final decision of the winner. Also the outside-members can vote who will continue and who won't.

It is debatable as to whether this required a second thread.

Is only an idea - and idea for a game - worth 2 threads?

However, if you were to look at the old thread, and to see how everyone thought it was a great idea - and then things suddenly died.......
Thats the nature of the JCC - things go under pretty quick. Its a great idea, and it deserves the recognition and thought that it will get in this thread.

I get the feeling that opinion on this will be pretty much be split by status - nonmods will like it, mods will hate it.

Which is even more reason as to why this thread should be in existance.

 

I am just wondering....did it occur to you that you might have better results in your quest if you had contacted the admins via PM with your game proposal, rather than try to gather public interest and then railroad them on a public platform? Expecially with a game that would demand so many special considerations (new board, colors, etc)?

Just a thought.
