A place to stay and fellow members of the Celebration

I work for Suncoast (a video store) and we had a contest based on best decorated to see who would get an all expenses paid trip to C3. Well, we were told we won't know till MARCH - definately not enough time to plan, save and prepare... so I've gone about getting my stuff.

I reserved a room (albeit a crapper) from the Econolodge... how I envy those who are staying closer, but 2.3 miles isn't all that far and besides the cost of the hotel will be a gift from my father for my birthday a mere three days before the first day of C3.

Is anyone else staying at the Econolodge on E. Meridian? I was just curious.

I'm also not familiar with Indianapolis..any tips?

Along with that, though I am a big Star Wars fan and have been for quite a while, my parents don't get it and C2 took place when I was in college, and so.. shock of all shock... this will be my first Con. Any tips on that?
