Banning Connemara was totally uncalled for and out of line.

 

If Lady Lucas was banned, she was unbanned mere hours later.

And I notice even back then people had the mistaken view that spamming was somehow covered by the TOS. Amazingly enough the 4 months since then and the hundreds of posts people have made agreeing to the TOS were made without reading it or they'd know Spamming was not mentioned.

It makes me laugh.

This was a strange an unfortunate misunderstanding (despite the fact AT60 seem determined to convince everyone that I'm a heinous criminal, while I'm unable to defend myself agaist those claims- if you have a problem with me, why don't we take it up in PM, cause I don't understand this attitude of yours towards me)

I had no idea what I was doing was spam, I assure you. It was discussed in the planning committee the night before that I would post in each FF forum in this area, to get info. None of us were aware this was in any way against the rules. I have, in the past, posted in multiple forums to get travel info, and since this isn't very different, I didn't realize the rules had apparently changed since then.

Had I known I needed to get permission first, by all means I certainly woudl have done so.

Thanks to my friends for coming to my defense, but this is no big deal, just a little mix up.

Oh hell, I was banned by Strawbary for posting *in* more than one forum. *rolls eyes heavenward*. Didn't start a thread in a damn one of them, and contributed to discussion in each of them...but apparently he was under the mistaken impression that posting in a FF forum that you don't 'belong' to merited a 3 day ban
Ah well...live and learn

A PM takes a few seconds to a minute to write

True indeed, but you wouldn't think it. You'd never believe the number of PMs I send, which get read, but are met with an unearthly silence.

 

How do you know that they've been read?

Can I please remind both committees that we still have to reach some kind of an agreement in regards to this issue... Particularly since this issue seems to involve all FF around the world.

Also, maybe we should have a liasons FF co-ordinator to advice us or something, since I haven't memorised the TOS yet.

And I always reply to my PMs, too, if they contain something pertinent (not like "lol" or something).

 

I'll put your mind at rest on that score and say that you wouldn't have to worry, Connemara. I rarely - if ever - send unsolicitited mail, and I hate those abreviations. Never use them. Most of them are a mystery to me, and I usually have to ask people what they mean.

As you can imagine, that means I get a lot of stick, like the kid at school who always got the p*** taken out of him 'cos he wasn't 'in' on the gag.

Well I've had that online.

If it were possible to send wedgies via email, I'd be singing soprano now, I really would.

And fanforces aren't? What are you talking about? Do any of you guys even go to your fanforces? My fanforce rocks. They're amazing, cool people who love Star Wars just as much as I do and I always have a blast. In all honesty, a fanforce meeting with my local guys on a weekend for a Star Wars Collector's Club meeting or just playing paintball or a BBQ sounds way more fun than flying thousands of miles to meet you guys on here... Half of whom hardly talk about SW anymore.

Dunno, go to your fanforces, they're incredibly better than the JC.

This is a great idea, to bad for me though, I can't afford to go to the USA next year...
