A query for the ladies

Do you want to have children?

As a man I can't really answer my own question, but I am curious if you do.

Actually I think this is a question not only for the ladies but for the men as well. Children are not raised by women alone ...

I assumed that the question had the P A I N threshold in mind.

 

HA! kids?! no way! all they do is give you pain (during pregnancy and birthm duh) and add to your wastline, then cost you millions of dollars throughout their lifetime. i hate little kids. no way would i ever want to have any.

 

I recall back in high school most of the girls I knew said they were never going to have kids. Now, most of them do.

 

I do adventually...though I prolly will adopt them.

No, I do not want kids. I emphatically do not want kids. I don't like 'em. I don't have the patience (or the willingness) to deal with 'em. So, none my way.

 

Nope, I've been put off having kids by the little brats I have to babysit.

 

I have two.

I once was very adamant that I would never have kids. I'm glad I did, it's the only event in my life that will have some affect in this world.

 

I don't ever want to be pregnat or give birth. There's places I don't want stiches if you know what I mean. Nor do I particularly want to raise kids. I don't think they'd come out ok.

 

As a man, I really don't need to answer, but I will.

I used to think the idea of being a father was just not for me. Then I started spending time with my friends that do have kids and something changed. I do want children, and while the physical changes in me will be far less dramatic, I don't really think that matters. Stretch marks, wider hips, morning sickness, whatever, i think that is a testiment to a woman's lover for her man if she is willing to go through all that just for him.

So yes, I do want children. I think I will make a great daddy someday.

I find this absolutely absurd!

I have a 7 month old son and he brings me the most joy in my life. Why do you people want to be so selfish and not have children of your own is beyond me. Then again I guess I really don't want people like you to be parents. You would probably end up on Jerry Springer with a disfunctionaly family.

 

Well I guess if they know they don't want kids, it's better to not have them than to have them and then neglect or resent them???

Emerik, why are you so offended?? As Just_A_Slacker said, we have different priorities than you do. For example, I want to go into the horse business. I will not have the time or the money to raise children. Add to that the fact that I don't even really like them, and I think it is easy to see why I don't want to have any.

I don't see how it is selfish to not want to have children. I think it would be far worse to go ahead and have children even though you know you don't want them.

anyways, the reason why I want to adopt is because there are so many children out there that don't have a home to go to. Sure maybe later on I will have my own children but for now adoption is fine.

 

I think adoption is a fine choice and makes one no less of a parent.
