A question about alternate Ep2 lightsaber duel!!

Hi I was wondering what program did they use for the lightsabers in the film?

ps I'm looking for a 16mm plug-in for photoshop I'm doing a star wars kung-fu film and I want to give it a old look like the 16mm cameras ya know the film sort of darkens and lightens at certin points of a movie

 

they used after effects and maybe some photoshop

i they probably used AE for that too not sure though

 

Also AfterEffects. Production Bundle > Lightning plugin. With some "proprietary methods" involved.

iv'e spent days trying to figure out thier key, but it ammouints to nothing! I just odnt see how you can enact a similar effect as he does with the lightsaber, on the lighting! arg! anyway...yeah it was a good film =P

and in response to your 16mm camera question thingy I think Big Film fx has a plugin todo something like that...havn't used it tho, but it's something to look into

 

also what was the settings for the lightsabers? does anyone know?

Speaking of sound, where did they get the lightning sounds? I've tried Sound FX Bunker, but their servers have been down for weeks.

 

the hum, I'm not sure about. But the saber were done using a tweaked version of his Ae saber tutorial I would assume.
