Rogue One A Sci-fi fantasy version of Saving Private Ryan

Some people including one of my friends Ocpcommunications called this a Sci-fi Saving Private Ryan, could that be right?

Watch the tank scene at the end of SPR and then watch the Jedha tank scene...I'd say it was more an homage. That being said, one of the original concepts (remember the first artwork we got?) was several U-wing style ships landing on a planet that was raining with dozens of fighters debarking from the ships to fight...that would have really felt like SPR (The start) I actually wish they went that way. I think in that early version Jyn was a rebel to begin with...
