In case anyone is interested, here is a leaked call sheet for some scenes from the PW. Looks like Brienne will be at the wedding.

I'm looking forward to season 5: given how much they've gone overboard with nudity and sex so far, I'm guessing Cersei's walk of shame will be one full episode .

 

Eh, I expected them to take the scene with one of Dany's servants... er, manually stimulating her and run with it (especially since they added a "lesbian sex" scene to season 1 for no goddamned reason), but that didn't happen. I guess Emilia Clarke shot it down.

 

I liked that in season 1, Dany's brother only comes off as a sad selfish little ***** instead of the full fledged psychopath that he was in the novel.

 

at least Dany seemed to enjoy it. Cersei's 'daliance' with the other team had to be the most depressing thing ever.

 

Myrish swamp = best description ever.

Body double + closeup of just her head and shoulders = easy way to do the walk of shame.

 

They have to do it, it's a key scene for her character. It would be like skipping Ned's beheading.

 

They can always cgi-out (or whatever) her tattoos. ITA, they have to do it.

As for Cersei and her "taking" of Taena - she obviously studied 'pleasing a woman the Robert Baratheon way'. IOW, drink too much, take what you think you're entitled to, and then blame it on the wine.

eta. Jeez, did I write that? I actually empathize with Cersei a lot of the time - but I cannot condone her behavior.

Some of the commenters are really clueless about the books, though. "ROTFLOL. No. if you read the book you know that Joff meets the same fate as the previous groom. Its a good thing." Last time I checked, Edmure was still alive. Oy.

 

I still remember the wonderful comments on Youtube in relation to the Red Wedding. Good times.

 

Anyone catch the last couple episodes of South Park? They've really gone all-out with the Game of Thrones satire being mixed into the Xbox One vs PS4 console wars. I can't wait to see what they do next week. Red Wedding parody, perhaps?

 

Oh yeah. I never thought they were gonna do a 3-parter but I guess they are.

Anyone else read "The Princess and The Queen" from the Dangerous Women anthology yet? I liked it but it seemed like more of an infodump than a story. A lot of really interesting information on dragons and the Targaryens though.
