Great as always! I love how this team explores aspects of Star Wars that have never been touched before or were no more than merely glanced in other stories. I also like how they are not afraid to tell a dark story that still works perfectly in Star Wars. Loved this issue, and I have to say that this comic and the Darth Vader one are my favourite things Star Wars currently.

Have to say, while it's a good story on its own, this one really worked for that 90s kid part of me who spent three years seeing like a zillion things about TPM supporting characters like Panaka and the handmaidens only to be baffled when they then all vanished without a trace in 2002.

AdmiralNick22 and GrandAdmiralJello are good friends, they just like to tease every now and again.

I would love to see comics relating to random pilots at Endor, whether they live or die. Same with cruiser/frigate crews. That'd be fantastic!

    I know, I was kidding. :)

Anyway... who knows if Jim Mello &co. are at all interested, but I would be so stoked if IDW were to approach them with an opportunity to share their work on a larger scale. Their content is fantastic and deserves to be appreciated by a wider audience. And there's precedent: it was fun that Otis Frampton got to write/illustrate the Tales from Wild Space story in March's Star Wars Adventures comic, after having pitched his Jawa comic idea for some time. Why not a similar deal with ASWC?

But I know nothing about comic book publishing contracts, so who knows how feasible that is.

It would be awesome to see the ASWC team do something official.

I'm Solo-hyped and ready for those deep cuts. :D Looks like there's one in the cover art:

The billboard reads something like "Whyrents (sp?) Reserve, for a more refind [sic] being", which I believe is a reference to Corellian Reserve brandy.

One tsk at myself for double posting (edit window closed) and another for my reference fail:

It's Whyren's Reserve, Corellian whiskey. Even has the aurek on the label.

Any references or characters you folks are hoping to see in #15?

I love the design for Corellia.

I remember reading a bunch of stuff about Coronet one day and thinking, "Oh, right, this is supposed to be New York." But I don't remember why I thought that.

New issue, featuring Garm Bel Iblis:

Super fun comic with insanely good art. I always liked the artwork in A Star Wars Comic, but I think this issue has better art than the early ones from last year. Which, again, had great art to begin with!

MARVEL & IDW, what the hell are you waiting for, hire these guys already!

This series does a great job of taking small but significant questions/concepts from the movies and giving them more depth, while at the same time finding ways to include a wide range of characters from both the new and old stories.

Excuse you, ASWC! You can't just put the scene "Bel Iblis gifting Han some pants" into my head and then NOT give it to me! :p That is a story that needs to be told. I need a full Yavin Ceremony treatment, but bestowing the Trousers of Valors, the Pants of Pluck instead of the Medal of Bravery.

I've never been much of a mandalorian fan, but I think this cover makes me feel like one:

WOW! One of the best issues of ASWC. I never cared much about mandalorians; I never cared much about Satine. But this...this is just way too good for fan fiction. This should be the defining origin story/moment for Satine IMO - I really doubt whatever official LFL can come up with can top this up, it would be pretty tough for sure. The artwork in every aspect is top notch - the action is dynamic, you can almost feel the punches drawn on the pages. The facial expressions are beautifully depicted.

Bravo ASWC, you continue to put a lot of the offical comics to shame.

Well the plot alone was unexpected!

I like the setup between Satine and Bo-Katan's opinions of one another, because clearly don't see eye to eye on how to run things years later. We still don't know how that came to be in the canon stories.
