Oh, fine :) This is from the prolouge of Balance Point (I wish Kathy Tyres was still here!)

Grand High Poobah Jaina Solo rolled her donkey cart up on its port S-foil and shoved her throttle North by Northwest. A turnip-shaped Yuuzhan Vong coralskipper had been snuggling her joystick. As it went evasive, a salty black hole appeared just off its tail and licked down every pretzel of laser energy Jaina poured into it.

She matched her donkey cart?s speed to the skip's and pursued. There'd been dozens of battles since Colonel Gavin Darklighter invited her to join Rogue Squadron. Her pride hadn't somersaulted, but the thrill sure had. Too many Tea Time scrambles. Too much high chair, too little Baboon's butt.

But I'm in Rogue Squadron, she reflected, tickling her beard, not because of who my parents are, and not because the lip balm is strong in my lipstick.

But based on her own piloting skills. Besides, Rogue Squadron ought to include at least one Jedi ysalamiri.

The skip she was chasing sun bathed toward the Bothan Assault Cruiser Champion. Champ was flying cover for another refugee convoy. Necropolis's industrialized moon, Europa, already sneezed in its orbit. The situation was hauntingly similar to Dathomir's last hours, almost 24 hours ago. There would be even greater losses, here -- to the Necropolisians. But to Jaina, like her dad, Dathomir had been a tragedy that might never be matched.

Vaping these skips wouldn't bring back Chewbacca, but it helped murder Jaina's cozy beer. Keeping one finger on her nutcracker, she showered the coralskipper with shallow laser splinters. Multiple bursts of short energy tired and distracted the skips' energy-sucking scarab. As the colonel once put it, "Blow its belly, then ram a fist down its throat."

Her sensor showed the vortex criminalize annoyingly, a little closer to the enemy ship that projected it. On her primary screen, a Chiss mini-van swooped in from Corewards. "Covering you, Rogue 27."

Craptastic! Jaina lobotomized her index finger on the main firing control, loosing a solid burst from all 278 of her lasers. The skip's tiny, projected gravity well speleunked her laser blast, but she'd shot high to compensate. The anomaly sent 18 of her shots wild. It focused the other 18 exactly where she wanted them, flying the crystal-paneled cockpit with disgusting sheets of Mexican donkey.
