Fig, seriously, if you want to talk about your project, bump the thread.

    ...I...didn't.

I just wasn't gonna make a thread here cause that would be off topic for this forum cough*COLIN*cough.

Check my sig, my site or my blog.

    PEACE.

Keep 'em comin,' Colin. You hear about people like Ted (-Akin, Ted Bracewell) and Ryan hittin' it big with their individual talents, don't think for a second that you couldn't go somewhere with these.

    ;)

I loved the idea of "A Step Ahead". There's no fx to comment on, but the camera and cut was really world class!!

    N-i-i-ice job. :)

I'm gonna try to answer this without having read any other posts.

    Did you get it?
I'm not sure. Does he have some sort of short term memory loss issues? Like, he was smoking the ganja beforehand?
I know I've had days like that. :D

    Was there enough closure?
    I think so.

    Was it too long?
3 minutes? No way, man. It was just long enough.

All in all, it was a rather interesting, if not simplistic little piece. It's a little odd, but very original.
Exceptionally good direction, by the way.

Yeah, I didn't even catch that effect when I first watched it. However, it was really cool.

EDIT: Colin was not specific so neither was I. Did not want to spoil it for anyone.

For those who haven't bothered to watch the clip, the effect was the food dissapearing from the saucepan.

Very well done in my opinion.

Thanks Durb and Darth and Milney! :)

Does he have some sort of short term memory loss issues?

Ehh.. no. ;) It's all supernatural stuffs, attributed at the end to Peerless Productions, for no reason in particular. Heh heh heh.

It's a verysophisticated peice of software, it allows you to talk to it. Ryan-W is similar, but he's programmed into the JC system to create lightsabres. LucasArts bought the rights to use the software.

I liked it but as others have said, the beginning could be shorter. Another thing I noticed is that the light from the window is spilling into the frame (or am I getting this short confused with your western.. I watched both back to back)

Anyway, to fix this you can buy ND film and tape it over your windows to reduce the glare by about 2 stops. Very useful stuff!
