A Stormtrooper Bump to the Head?

Ok, this is going to sound dumb. As we all know, in ANH, several stormtroopers walk into a room in the Death Star, one of them bumps his head on the top of the door. I was watching ANH today, and noticed that there is a sound effect that coincides with the bump. It sounds like a thud, but at exactly the same time he hits his head, one of the stormtroopers says something. Is this sound effect actually that of the thud, or a mike burst from the stormtrooper when he starts talking? I have seen the incident many times, but honestly never noticed the odd sound effect here.

 

I say it was intentional, an extension to order 66, known as order 67 and half that makes all the stormtroopers dumb and uncoordinated

The sound effect was definitely added in the DVD. I noticed it for the first time a few weeks ago. It was only my second time watching the ANH DVD, but I don't know how I didn't notice it the first time! It's loud enough to be very obvious. I guess the old stormtrooper bumping his head mistake became so famous over the years that Lucas and company decided to have some fun with it.
