San Joaquin, CA A Successful Visit

Our visit to VCH (Valley Children's Hospital) went very well. The children were wonderful as well as staff. A special thanks to all you came out for this venture including Lord Vader(Will), Jango and son(Lorenzo and Quinton), and Barriss(Liz) and the rest.

We were asked by different staff members to make trips to other areas such as the ER where the Doctors and Nurses seemed to have a better time. Actually there were not many patients in the ER which is a good thing. Then it was off to see a young man that was in isolation due to chicken pox but was a huge Star Wars fan. Even though we could only visit him through a window he appeared pleased. Not everyone gets a speical visit from Darth Vader.

And Lorenzo's new Jango looked great. He claims that with one more addition it will be complete, but we know what he is like on making "adjustments" Both he and Quniton really looked wonderful.

Also, Will was a pleasure to work with and soon all will see Vader with his purse.

 

I had a really good time as far as one can have a good time visiting a children's hospital. Apparently I'm going to have to make a Leia costume just to have on the ready for things like this. Thanks again to Lorenzo for the cheesecake, sans hair!

Yeah, except for having to dress out in the public restroom five feet away from people who were taking care of umm...their business, it was super cool (is there a stinky smiley). The kids appeared to enjoy it, but I know it would've been extra cool to have R2 and his "handlers" there too like the last visit. Oh well, maybe next time. Oh, and I missed our fellow Royal Guard being there too...maybe next time?

Bariss(sp?)was awesome!

Dinner was fun but trying to park was interesting.

Yes, parking was interesting. No other way to put it.

 

Great pics kids! Yeah, I wish we could have made the trip with R2 but work had to come first this time. Next trip for sure...and 3P0 might be finished by then!
