FF:VIC A VicFF meet and greet?

Whilst I appreciate all the work that Starwalking does, sometimes I yearn for something a little more personal. We're not all Starwalking members, but we do have one thing in common, and that is this great forum. I suggest an "official" VicFF meet, where we can all get together and learn a little bit more about the people we only know by a nickname and an icon.


Now, I'm not able to organise one in the immediate future, but if someone here is then I'm sure the entire forum would be most appreciative. Alternatively, you could wait a while until I have a little less on my plate and just let me do all the work, but then I would just call you all lazy buggers.


So what do you think? Should we have our very own official VicFF meet?

 

Sounds like a plan.

Why don't we all just get together at Crown or something and see a movie? Or we could drive to Premier Bracks' house and throw eggs at his car and steal his garden gnome in true dumping style.

POT, Jet-Eye and Jacques met me at the Episode 2 premiere. I think may have frightened them from ever meeting people from here again

Anyways it would still be cool for all of us to meet up sometime.

I agree that it should be after the exams.

The Crown thing will probably be the most conveniant for most of the people here, but I'm definately open for other ideas (like your egging Bracks' car idea Reign ).

Anywho, I hope a few more people will decide to come.

 

There's an irony to ideas like this. Having a FF meet and greet is a great idea, but you'll find it can sometimes take people ages to agree on the "where and when" - especially if people are hoping others will organise something.

That's why the Skyforce meetings work so well; the dates, times and venue are all set a year in advance. All you've gotta do is turn up and **bingo**, a FF meet all set ready to go.

 

Have to agree with Dags on this one.

Except, at the last Skyforce....only ONE FFer turned up.

Maybe a few more will come along to the Zone3 session or maybe the bowling day this weekend.

 

Hence the reason for having our own meet. Skyforce is great, but it's open to any and all SW fans. I'm suggesting one just for the guys (and gals, gotta be PC these days) who post here. Very few of us have actually met each other, so it'd be great to know who we're talking to. Besides, Skyforce is only four times a year if I remember correctly, we can organise this one to be whenever we want.

 

I think its a brilliant idea, guys - this is exactly what Fanforce is for, after all.

And I'm sure LV'll help you organise it - he is the CR.

IMAX and STAR WARS never could i imagine anything more beutifull!!!!! i would love to do that, all i have to do is nag my mum... alot... She finds all star wars fans scary, I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA!!!

Anyway, despite the deep seated fear and loathing of you people after encountering Reign (j/k mate ) I am once again prepared to venture out and meet you all!

Anyway, just a word in your ear LVFF. Does it get annoying how Shara subtly slides the 'moz' on you there to help us out with this venture by virtue of you being the 'CR'? Is she trying to infringe on your turf? I wouldn't tolerate it if I was you LVFF, hold your own ground, you have the support of the forum.
