Lit A WHAT IF IDEA FOR THE EU BOOKS

I realize there is speculation and worries about what the new flims will mean to the EU, I had a thought today, Yes is kind of a cheat but it will also open up other ideas. what if during episode 7 Han Solo is killed giving harrison ford his wanted death scene. but during that Luke has a Force Vision which unspools showing us the stories of the books as possible futures if Han falls. So it saves the EU and gives us an alternate univerese where the original EU and the potential "New" EU can exist without goofing things up to much. and besides i heard the "Maker" himself saying they have a huge treasure trove of stories in the books and comics and they are being handed over or something to that effect. so perhaps with a little work the EU can stick around i mean 30 years of work/money and fun would be a waste to just toss it. that's my thoughts.

Well yes Boba and Iron Man fighting might be cool but i am not sure how that would work story wise. you never know they will have to way the cost of all the material they created over 30 years millions of dollars and fans. all they have to do is set the films 50 years later tht's it, since the books are only at 44 ABY or so. I could still work with a little care on GL's part. The community should be listened to since we are the audience that will by the most merchandise to be honest.

 

Besides, Iron Man would destroy Boba Fett. Iron Man would also have a better shot with Cinderella.

 

If Jango has a shot against Obi-Wan, I think Boba would have a shot against Stark.

My real opinion is that "what if" threads are frowned upon here, because they blur the line between regular speculation and fanfic. And, as there's no way of knowing right now what will happen with the ST, the only real conversation that could come out of this particular what-if is either "that's awesome" or "that's dumb".
