I'm really hoping they show some gritty Vader-combat scenes. Like some of those concept art image rumors that were floating around a while ago.

I love that visceral grittiness, which is why I so enjoyed the Kylo Ren combat scene in TFA. Reminiscent of the OT duels in that respect.

So, I work in retail and have to stand for hours on end. Feet and legs hurt like heck. Any tips?

Force Smuggler do you have inserts for your shoes? Dr. Scholes are pretty good.

Nope. Just have comfortable shoes. But have shifts from 12pm to 9pm during the week. Standing for that long is not fun. Any good stretch ideas?

this article has some good tips.
If you're in the same place all day you could get an anti-fatigue mat too.

Sports massage might be good. Flush out those toxins a bit.

I've worked a ton of shifts like that and just ended up getting used to it because after 4 hours there weren't enough inserts in the world.

A couple things helped though: making sure I was moving was the first. You can go far longer on your feet if you can move around even a little bit rather than standing in one place. I always went out to clean or whatever. The other thing that helped was massaging my feet on break. Just kneading the heel and sole of my foot for five minutes would give me another hour or so pain free.

Well. I'm about to graduate. Feels weird

I know this is cliche, but

Time really does go by WAY too quickly. I wish high school had another year or maybe even another two. I feel like I can still remember my middle and elementary school. Hell, even the days as a toddler in goddamn preschool

Time is indeed the most valuable commodity in the world

What's next? If it's college, then you'll feel the exact same way in 4 years. And then if grad school after that, then once more in another 4 years. There's so much nostalgia every time one chapter closes and another begins.

I feel like I'm in this career path where my life is broken up into chunks of 4 years.
    High school: 4 years
    College: 4 years
Med School: 4 years (currently here)
    Residency: 4 years (probably)

And the memories build up at each and every stage.

Crazy how the high school graduation is only slightly past the halfway point for your education.

I graduate with my bachelor's degree this December before going on to graduate school. And let me tell you, it only goes by faster.

    I can imagine....

Well, not quite as much time to get attached. Going from childhood to now was quite the ride. I'll miss that place. But. Guess who's got a diploma

I'd recommend a PS4 for the exclusive titles alone. [face_peace]

Hey, speak for yourself! I won't be in graduate school that long! :p

I haven't slept properly since I was twelve.

    Yep

It all started with TV shows that went to 3:30 AM

Then it was playing my PSP in bed to "delay" the feeling of having to go to school

    And now I'm nocturnal

I just suffer from anxiety and depression which has always plagued me but recently been aggravated by the slow and painful dissolution of a very long-term relationship so

Yeah my reason for not sleeping isn't quite as fun but there's that

I'm going to look into that soon. It's something I've struggled with for years, but when life is going well it's manageable enough. It's still there, and it'll occasionally spike up for no reason at all for a day or two, but I'll more or less have it under control. But then something emotionally tumultuous happens and it's like I'm 15 again, and it just doesn't let up for weeks or months. So yeah, it's something I've realized I don't remotely have under control and probably need to finally address.

In happier news I finally saw The Book of Mormon today so that was really cool

Someone who I'm close to has similar issues and it's something I know is incredibly difficult for someone to go through. I agree with theMaestro seeking help is wise as said person I mentioned has gotten better with some help. I'll keep you in my prayers if that gives any comfort.

I recently got a PS4 just so I could play UNCHARTED 4, actually. I have to say totally worth it. The graphics alone are probably the best and most gorgeous I’ve ever seen in a video game. It also does a really good job of diving into the psychology of Nathan Drake, and the relationship between him and his brother has some real poignancy to it. It’s definitely a must for anyone who likes any of the previous games.
