yes i'm going to take a leap off the deep end. The aayla costume is going on my list of things to do. However i'm having trouble finding enough pics to give me a full enough picture of her entire costume. Any help y'all would be able to give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

    ... :D wow! ... that will be sexy [face_love]

it will look so great on you. :) are you going to go for the blue skin and 'head-tails' as well, or just the costume?

    (i'm looking for pics now...)

Goldbubbly, I for one can't make heads or tails of the link you tried to post. Neither can the yahoo servers, apparently. :(

There'e a thread in the AotC spoiler section devoted to Aayla Secura. It has some pictures and drawings. You did know she's a comic character, right? ;)

I know that with Yahoo's photo albums, you have to choose the settings (private, friends only, public). You have to choose public for that album so everyone can see.
Maybe that is why we can't see it?

Yahoo has changed its policies, so there is no more public sharing of files unless you pay for them.. but I thought that was just for the full sized images.

    So I tried just: http://photos.yahoo.com/goldbubbly
But it comes up with empty albulms. Have you decided to get rid of them? Or rather move them elsewhere?

I know people use other photo storage places.. photopoint one of them?

I looked for the thread in the AOTC Spoilers section, but there's just sooooo much there that it's hard to wade through to find it....
Would you please post a link? I'm definately interested in seeing more pics.

i'm posting this here as pivy had mentioned in the black dress thread.

i'm planning to do an aayla costume. i'd actually had my fiance post here about a week ago in a thread about doing a twi lek costume to see if i could get some input.

someone in that thread suggest i try reel creations or michael davy for the body paint. there is a third suggestion for this which is ben nye (all three would work well though.)

for the lek ku, this is tough and i've never done anything like this so hoping it works:
going to do a papier mache of what i want the lek ku to look like, cover it with something so that the coating wont soak through. then i plan to paint or dip in slush or mask latex and paint to match the blue body paint. once it has dried, i plan to remove the papier mache and then stuff with bubble wrap or cotton then glue in a shower cap for added support on the head.

i will then make the side things (ears and so on.) ears will be formed with the slush latex too and the other side things shown in here pic here will be made from a plactic that is easy to sand and cut (once i find a good plactic, i'll post it too.) then i'll paint those. i'll make a headband out of leather and wrap it as shown in pic.

for the outfit itself, i'm a bit torn. i think i'll go with a brownish marroon pair of tights and i'll fold them down to be hip hugging like aayla's in the comic pics. then make the belt and so on. the top part, i'm thinking some leather and just regular cotton.

i have no idea how long this will take me since money and time can be a prob lol! i'll post as i go though with pics and info! hoping to start on this in july after my long vacation. :)

Just so y'all know, in case you haven't been by the Padawan's Guide since she added this, there are now a TON of pictures of Aayla Secura that show her full costume: http://www.padawansguide.com/secura.shtml. :)

If you go to the official site and do an Aayla Secura search the first thing on the list (for now) is where all those pics came from. Ironically it's an entire two-page article about how they made her costume that manages not to give any tips on how to make it yourself. Grrr. But it is interesting, at least. And it provided all those nifty pics.

Hi, SwordSaint here. I've been pe-production of my fanfilm for a year and a half now, but I won't speak any more on that until principal photography begins(shhh,in next two months) Anyway, two of the 76 characters are twi'leks; which brings me to my point, (finally.) I've spent a long time trying to get the exact right look for the lekku (head tails) and I now have a process down to make a lekku head-piece that looks and feels like real skin and the filler stays in place and is light weight. So, unlike a couple of others, I am willing to share the process. As I make the next head-piece I will take extensive pictures and write out the materials I used and where to get them. So be on the look-out. Hopefully I be of some help.
    C-ya.
