Perhaps the inclusion of a comic book character in Attack of the Clones will not only testify to the relevance of the EU to the Star Wars saga, it will also silence those who insist that certain EU sources (e.g., novels) ought to take precedence in continuity over other EU sources (e.g., comic books and gaming materials).

But I wouldn't count on it.
