Amph ABC's "Once Upon a Time"

I really hope he stays dead. He's the only character I could never stand.

 

Horowitz and Katsis have said that for this to have the impact they want, he's dead-dead.

BUT, we will be seeing more Neal in flashbacks, which I'm guessing is how we get to see more of August also.

 

I liked the character, just despised the adult actor's capabilities (or lack thereof). The child actor who portrayed the character in flashbacks was superior, imo. Well, actually, I liked the character as a kid too, but as an adult he was rather unlikable.

I really disliked how Neal never did seem to appreciate the lengths his father went for him. Even when Rumple was acting out of goodness (like in the mid-season finale), Neal quickly dismissed it and tried to resurrect him just so he could get access to his father's power. Rumple did all he could to try and save/prolong his son's life, and Neal pretty much throws it all away almost every time they're on screen together.

His sentimental moment with his father before his death was long overdue, imo.


I'm not quite sure what to make of the whole Robin and Regina thing. Though I guess Regina does have a thing for woodsmen.

We're trying to figure out if Neal's like Rumple!Dead or Graham!Dead.


And OMG I cannot handle Regina and Robin right now. I really don't care what else happened in the episode.

 

This was actually a genuinely good episode. My roommate and I were yelling at the TV during that reveal (and a lot more at the end of the episode).

Also, Snarky!Regina needs to stay forever. She had some great lines tonight.

At this point, we're expecting Snow's baby to be Dorothy. It's either a HUGE coincidence or super foresight by the show runners that this kid will have an "Auntie" Em(ma) and "Uncle" Henry.

So, it should be noted that the WWotW now has:

- A heart.
- A brain.
- Courage.
- The shoes.

 

Yes. Hence the quotation marks I used.

And she doesn't have the heart yet. (And whose brain?)

 

She has Hook's heart and Rumple's brain.

 

Well, me and my roomie are happy now.

Roommate and I didn't even care about the villain reveal. We were too busy screaming and crying over the rescued woman reveal.

Carlyle is just such the MVP of this show, it's not funny. I love him so much, though I kept waiting for Belle to get shot last night at the well, in traditional 80s soap-style.

So I couldn't help but notice there was a swan in the intro of the Finale...is Swan supposed to be the Swan Princess and it's just like never addressed?( or maybe in a future season).

Liked the last 15 minutes of these last 2, found the rest pretty boring. It was both warmhearted and so cold...

 

I loved both episodes, and laughed at the "Back to the Future" references...especially Hook asking Emma if Marty McFly was a wizard.

 

I was also expecting a Swan Princess reference (and seriously expected Emma to get turned into a Swan).

And Rumple and Regina really are the best parts of this show.

 

Well, that sucks for Regina. Emma and Snow sure do have a natural talent for ruining her life.

I'm not a fan of Rumple's little lie/deception concerning the dagger. I mean, Belle even gave him an out. C'mon dude.

As for the surprise new character at the very end--surely they can't make it any worse than their silly take on Rapunzel.

But PS (non-SLG) - as long as the story's okay, there's zero reason to care about Elsa showing up. This year's storyline (both halves) were pretty amazing and I'll give them credit from rebounding from the awful S2 slump. Evil Peter Pan, Rumple's dad, marginal takes on Wizard of Oz... cool.

They have the highest-grossing animated film of all time -- I'm cool with this. Also, if you think this is a cash grab (random people), then Hobbit films are even worse!
